  • Your best bet is to probably go with a gel seat. You can get them at Canadian Tire or other similar places. They will fit right over pretty much any bike seat and then they have a drawstring to tighten around the seat. I will tell you though that the more you spin the less pain you will have. If you do find that you are…
  • If you can find it...Jillan Micheals - Hot Bod in a Box. Its a box of cards (like playing cards) with an exercise on each card---pick out the cards and do those exercises. Awesome way to change things up and get some good exercise in--without it becoming boring!
  • Been a member of this group for a while but have yet to introduce myself...so hear goes... I'm Krista, 36, mom to an awesome 21 month old girl. Back in the day (2002) I was 230 pounds..moved away from home, found the gym and my love for spin class, fast forward to 2010 I was 170 pounds and eventually became a spin…
  • For the first time in a looooooooooooong time I actually stayed on track this weekend and I owe a lot of it to this group. So THANK YOU!! I worked out each day and ate back my activity calories but I'm cool with that. I ate junk but still stayed under my calorie goal. This is a HUGE accomplishment for me!! This week my…
  • Hubby is on nights this weekend which means me trying to keep the house quiet during the day so he can sleep....with a 15 month old it isn't happening...so we go out during most of the day which usually means unnecessarily eating out and "treats". This also means me solo at night which is a challenge because I'm a horrible…
  • Seems like stress is a common theme these days...I've got stress coming at me from all sides...work, home, and my own head! Would love to take part in a challenge in May. First thing first though...getting out of this funk I seem to have gotten myself into! April has NOT been good. My workouts are gonzo as of late and so…
  • I definitely agree with MeAfter30. There are so many things that you can do off your feet (insert smart remark here...LOL) Google is your friend in this case. I also know that there are upper body/core DVDs that you could purchase as well--although I don't know the names of any. And of course because it is your foot...you…
  • I'm soooo in!! I have less than a week till hubby is off to school (for 19 weeks coming home on weekends, 5 hours away). This is gonna be tough but its a challenge I'm going face head on. My LO is 14 months old and BUSY! I work f/t therefore she will be in daycare f/t as well. My gym time will be near non-exsistent so I'll…
  • klv22kath - I feel like I could have written that entire post. 8-10 pounds away from my pre-baby weight (which is my 1st goal--my "baby" turned 14 months yesterday!). I survived Easter for the most part but am still sliding down a slippery slope since then. Weekends are brutal my way as well and I have my WI…
  • OMG this week has been brutal. As if Easter wasn't challenging enough it just keeps going. Hubby is preparing to go to school for the summer for a new job (dream career so this is REALLY awesome news) however ALL of his friends want to see him before he goes...which means eating out, beer and late nights. This is REALLY…
  • Clean slate today :) Weekend was great (relaxing, family and fun) but horrible (food wise)...but I keep plugging along. Today is a me day...I had the day off but still put my LO in daycare. I hit the gym, shopped and got a mani & pedi! I only ate breakfast so far...(oopsie) and have a ton of cals left...still not sure what…
  • Thursday - Level 3 shred, 20 min walk at lunch--did end up going over my calories but I still logged everything (which is huge for me!) Friday - 45 min treadmill (5 mins @ 3.5, 3 x 10 mins @ 6.0, 1 x 10 mins at 6.7)--went over just by a smidge because of fish n chips (after giving up deep fried foods for lent) Saturday -…
  • The more the merrier I say. I know how you ladies feel about the weekend....during the week I'm a good girl...but I'm so easily derailed on the weekends. • Today was a bit of a rest day...Only did Level 2 of Shred with no extra. Tomorrow and Sunday will be bigger cardio days so I'm not worried about not getting enough activity in. • March 6, 2012 Did Level 2 (Day 3) of the 30DS this morning (20 minutes) and then added in 10 mins of squats, lunges, push ups and crunches. Take that Jillian Michaels!!
  • I'm in as well. Gonna have to add my own exercises though as I'm only doing the 30 Day Shred (mon-fri) which are only 20 mins.
  • Yes, its the JM 30 Day Shred. I don't think it would hurt you any to do it when your not seeing your trainer...but I'm not a professional. Maybe your trainer could advise you want to do on your off days? Good luck!
