I found that I was eating 12-1300 calories and could not loose. I do exercise at least 3x per week at the gym and have a huge garden so in the summer I'm out there continually. I had to increase the number of calories that I was eating to 1600 to loose and now that my garden season is about to begin again, I'm struggling…

If you are exercising that is gonna be to low. But if all you are doing is dieting than this may be correct. Take into account your activity. Go to the tools tab and figure out what your BMR is, this will help, this is the amount of calories you burn just to stay alive, doesn't include any kind of activity. I work out 5-6…

It was a holiday if you'll remember. We probably all over indulged, I'm as guilty as the next person, but the good thing about holidays is, they only happen occasionally. So, get back on the wagon or rebuild it, as the case may be, and get yourself back in gear. We can do this, I did an extra mile on the treadmill along…

If you are doing any weight training you might not lose anything to see inches come off because you are toning muscle which makes you trimmer. You might even gain a little weight - muscle weighs more than fat. I haven't really measured myself so i can't really answer your specific question but thought you might be…

Maybe I'm totally off track, but i don't eat my exercise calories. I stick to a 1600 calorie diet and that is it. I don't get why you would exercise to burn those calories and then take them back in, I don't understand how that helps you lose weight. I say stick to your calories, don't eat the extra especially if you…

I'm using the P90X series from beachbody.com I've lost 18# so far and love the workouts. This though needs some equipment availability to really do it right. There are several other workouts on that web site though that might fit what you are looking for. Good Luck!!

That is a gallon of water a day, that seems like an awful lot of water. Normal recommendations is 64-80 ounces per day (8-10, 8 oz. glasses per day). I don't think drinking that much will hurt you but is you aren't peeing it out, then I'd cut back to the recommended amount and see how that works. I know you have to drink…

P90X is a wonderful program. I'm in my second round right now. I've love 15 pound and have built a ton of muscle and strength. I highly recommend this system. It is tough and you have to build up to being able to do everything but give yourself some time and do a little better everytime you do a DVD and you will see…

I don't struggle so hard at night, but when I'm hungry I search the frig and cupboards knowing that I can't have any of that stuff. I work out in the morning because I work at home and it is easier to do it in the morning. Have you tried drinking a protein drink. Protein helps curb the appetite and it might bring the…

Get yourself some Whey Protein. You can get it at Rite-aid or GNC in the supplement section, probably most drug or health stores carries it. You get several servings from a bag or container. It comes in 2-3 flavors, I drink the chocolate carmel and I know it works. I drink it after a hard workout and it keeps me from…

What is your carb/protein/fiber intake? It should be at about a 40/30/30% of your total calorie intake. Also, I stick to a 1600 calorie diet give or take. I never eat the extra calories from exercise on purpose. I guess my question with eating your exercise calories is, why? You have to burn more calories than you take in…

Have you tried any of the Tony Horton workouts? He does a great program called P90X. Go to www.beachbody.com and look at some of that stuff, Tony kicks my butt 6 days a week, I love the workouts and I'm finally losing the weight that I haven't been able to get off for 2 years.

I had trouble getting my diet in line. I started by doing the program with a group a the gym 3 days a week. Finally ordered my own copy and started the full program. I didn't really see any results with my weight until I got my calories under control. I worked with a coach from the P90X website and once we figured things…

The easiest way to count your calories is to get a heart rate watch or monitor that also counts your calorie burn. I got one at Walmart for abou $45 and it works great for me. My estimate based on my own workouts would be between 350-450 calories but that also depends on your weight and height and how high you get your…

If you are working out and eating the foods that you should then that sounds pretty reasonable. Try it and it you aren't losing then change the foods or quantities that you are eating.
