I'm slightly taller (5'6) but feel free to check out my pictures. The one in the green shirt is at my heaviest, 185.5. The ones in the bikini are around 150, the ones in the striped dress are around 143. ETA: I should say my heaviest this time around. My highest weight ever is 197.

Remember that if you've been doing a bit of indulging, you're likely carrying some water weight, ect too, not just 5 new lbs of fat. I mean, I can swing 3lbs in a day based on other factors. Get back on track, weigh in next week and see if you start to even out.

I feel like it has to be said... sweet rack, jen_bd6!

Another fall lover here, though my favorite month is November. I love Thanksgiving and the truly cool weather of later fall. Love to snuggle up with a sweater and a hot coffee!

I would strongly recommend finding a local therapist who can help you work through this. ED behaviors are a complex thing, and behavioral management techniques/tricks usually aren't enough to help long term. I don't think any advice you're going to get on a message board can really substitute for the advice of a qualified…

Forever by Drake, ft Kanye, Lil Wayne and Eminem. It's my "last 5 min of my run" song, I turn it on to crank out the last of it!

Dream position in my current career: Executive director of a human service agency, specifically one that works with adolescents with substance abuse and delinquency Ridiculous dream: Clue writer for Jeopardy!

It will definitely vary greatly by moth geography and social circle. We had an open bar for the cocktail hour, champagne toast at the start of dinner, and non-alcoholic beverages all night (normally the bar would charge for soda, juice, ect). I'm surprised at another poster saying that they've never been to a cash bar…

Are you doing this at home or out at a bar? When I'm out, I drink vodka soda with lime and a splash of cran (literally a splash, I like it very pale pink). Sometimes I do flavored vodkas, too, orange or blueberry are good! My friend sticks to ru, and Diet. At home, I drink white wine, mostly. 5oz of pinot grigio is about…

Tough call! Fenway and Wrigley both are must-sees for their history, and they're both cool in their own ways. But as far as the nicest park, I really think Nationals Park is it! Petco Park is pretty sweet, but Nationals was amazing.

This is awesome! MH and I are trying to get to every MLB park in the country, we're doing three this summer. And Nationals Park is such a cool place to catch a game. As for who I root for... let's go Red Sox! Even with their current nonsense, I still love them. And I have a soft spot in my heart for Cubs fans... you'll get…

I can see how my outfit is a bit misleading! I'm a social work director, so it's kind office-y, but I spend most of my time out and about meeting with clients and doing individual therapy, groups and running meetings.

@Natasha, I'm going to guess you're in HR!

Yes, I am happy!. There are certainly things that I am working to improve, and some things that I wish were different, but overall, I'm genuinely pretty satisfied with where I am now, and the path that I'm on. I think that there are people who have expectations about what happiness is that's simply unrealistic. No one is…

I definitely wasn't "where I wanted to be" for our wedding (about 10lbs heavier than I am now), but I can tell you that it really, truly didn't matter. I found a dress I loved and felt beautiful in (and made me look smaller... highly recommend corset back dresses!), and was so happy that day that my weight was the furthest…

I'm a social worker, but my actual job is interesting. I'm a hybrid therapist (I do individual and group work, specializing in trauma and dual diagnosis) and manager (oversee programs that use one of the therapies I specialize in as well as supervise practicing clinicians). I can't really share any specifics, but I'll say…

The best thing I ever did was live in Ireland for 6 months. I was going through a pretty tumultuous time in my personal life, and picking up and moving to another continent gave me the clarity that I needed to send me down the right path that I'm continuing on now.

My undergrad major was English lit with a minor in music and faith, peace and justice studies. My master's is in social work. English was actually a good foundation for my SW career since I do so damn much writing... aka paperwork!

No kids myself, but my experience with wearing makeup was a little different, I guess. I danced competitively from a young age and did a lot theater, so I learned a lot about makeup from the time I was really small. I only wore it to perform/practice for performances/play around with it until I was in junior high, then I…

I've invested in multiple CamelBak bottles. I have an easier time when I can sip consistently and can get 3 glasses in one fill as opposed to having to get more constantly. I also travel locally a LOT for work so I always take a bottle full in the car with me and drink on the go!

These numbers are pretty surprising to me! When I was at 197 at 5'6, which was my highest weight, I was a 14 or 16 on bottom, large on top. Now at 167ish, I'm wearing 12s on the bottom that are kinda loose, but still don't know if I'd be comfortable in 10s, though I'm solidly a medium in tops now. I knew I was pear shaped,…

I definitely agree that I notice a lot more, but I don't really judge based on it. Being on and off a diet for the last 5 years has made me freakishly good at estimating calories in packaged foods. My BIL recently commented that it was a weird talent to have, but hey, everyone's gotta be good at something, right? :-)…

Definitely a personal choice. I have some health stuff that can increase risk of miscarriage, so I'll admit that when the time comes, I don't plan on saying anything for awhile. I also don't plan on putting anything on FB until we're sure we've told everyone we want to tell personally. For me, it's a SUPER personal thing…

As a former dancer, I wouldn't do jazz shoes or really any dance shoes. They're designed more for function (a good "line", balance of traction and ease for turns, ect) than they are for support... they're pretty insubstantial, even the sneaker styles. :-) I use running shoes and do fine with my bad knee, but it might be…

There was a great post yesterday about the effect of exercise on weight loss. Basically, weight loss is really about calories in vs calories out, and the 3 days a week of C25K won't create the kind of caloric deficit you need to see weight loss. I just finished week 1 and I burned about 250cals each session, which on it's…

Married for 4 and a half years, together for nearly 8, known each other for nearly 10.
-
I don't think there is one right answer for everyone. I got married at 23 (MH is 2 years older than me), and many people consider that to be pretty young, especially where we're from (MA, average age of first marriage is higher here than elsewhere). We really wanted to enjoy being married for awhile before we started a…

Do you like tea? I find that drinking hot drinks tends to help me curb the urge to snack because it's more of a "process" than gulping down tons of water. I like both coffee and tea, but if you're worried about caffiene, there are some great herbal teas out there to eliminate the caffiene issue. I don't envy where you are!…

I'm a social worker. I currently help residential and supported housing programs for adolescents and adults use a particular type of therapy, as well as see individuals for trauma therapy.
