Although some of the self professed experts can get a little blunt with their responses please don't let that keep you from reaching out. The only stupid question is the one that you don't ask. As for an answer to your original question, I used them for a time on a previous weight loss journey until I was forced to look at…

I pay 80/yr at my local rec center and get reimbursed by my work 25/mth so I actually profit. I used to use my local YMCA and for family I was charged 30/mth.

I have never heard anything like this. I have had 3 c-sections, a tubal, gallbladder removal... and that is just involving my stomach. Judging by all of the core workouts I have been doing and how sore I am the day after I'm pretty sure I still have muscle to work. Is it harder sometimes, yes, because it takes time for my…

My gym doesn't sell anything... in fact, if I hit mileage goals I get little perks (water bottle, t-shirt). If they were pushing me products I would probably not go so I guess I'm lucky there. But - having been working on my own protein levels, I've been adding in a zone perfect bar to up my protein and get my sweet fix…

I am splitting gym time with practice for my kids so I am doing crazy lady moves at the field. I push my 2 yr old on the stroller on a walking trail between two parking lots. at each end I do work. Step ups on the parking blocks, crunches, planks, push ups, squats, whatever. My boy counts them out too ;-) I may look crazy…

I bike for my cardio. I do the variable hill settings with resistance and am up to 12 miles/30 min. To up the intensity I started using 8lb hand weights while riding. Really has upped my burn I believe.

Working out 5 days a week, 1 hr - I'm a mom who works full time so this hour has been negotiated with my home full of boys and one awesome man child. I am getting married this summer so…

dumb question here... so if I eat back the calories I burn how will I ever have a deficit and loose weight? Wouldn't I always be back to square one, I ate what I burned?

Ouch Ouch Ouch... I just made the top 1% in the worst way possible... You have a higher BMI than 99% of females aged 30-44 in your country You have a higher BMI than 100% of females aged 30-44 in the world If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would add 248,840,927 tonnes to the total weight of the world's…

Thank you for your post. Your experience sound a lot like mine and it was very discouraging. I too would find my self quitting before the run was over then reaching for an inhaler. I will take the advice and slow it down. BUT the good thing was when I got off the treadmill and felt guilty for not running as I wanted I got…

^^ This is my life... he keeps losing weight and is a very unhealthy 116 so I'm trying to fatten him up, lol. The teen eats everything and then some, the 9 yr old refuses to eat anything, and the toddler thinks yours must taste better than his. And all I want to do is stay under calorie... SMH
