  • What I want to know is how come all my lost weight comes off my face and upper body and not from the old thunder thighs? Even though most of my cardio is cycling or running... Will it ever go or are there some places on a woman's body even mfp cant touch?!:grumble: What are other members experiences? ta muchly!
  • brilliant.
  • yikes! thanks! It's mad, you think you're being so healthy and then it turns out that you're not. Thats why forums such as this are so great! I cant wait till pod peas are back in season over here..... then i can really go wild!
  • I eat so much fruit that my sugar levels are invariably higher than they should be (serious clementine addiction) calories are still ok- should i curb the citrus cravings?
  • Yes, as if it wasnt bad enough.. Think water retention, swelling, and bloating... all adds up to good old weight gain. Dont punish yourself by going near the scales during your period is my advice..
  • No it was one big beautiful pot which, left to my own devices, I could polish off in a week! I am avoiding the jams and spreads aisles ...:)
  • I came face to face with Snickers Peanut butter the other day. I dont know how much longer I can hold out man.... help...me...
  • Sauce :blushing:
  • Thank you! Oooh I hate the cross trainer...but i spose I'd better learn to love it!
  • Is an Elliptical Machine the same thing as a Cross Trainer?
  • LOL... Sorry, still none the wiser! DQ? I'm English you see.. I seem to have this problem a lot.... not knowing brands/foods etc! However, if it's that tasty...maybe I'm better off in the dark  Oh and while we're on the subject...what is Mountain Dew? Seems to come up a lot on these forums!
  • what is it? It sounds tasty!
  • ...and if like me you're too lazy to make your own...Weightwatcher's oven chips are quite good- 3g Fat per 100g not sure about calories but think its about 150 per 100g. Had some tonight...yum yum. Do you have weight watchers in the US?
  • Leftfield is excellent for running to! Especially Release the Pressure- recommend the Leftism album. Any hard house gets the old heart rate up as well (not happy hardcore though... that would make me want to jog off a cliff...)
  • I should say that where i am in uk you can only really get New York bagels or supermarket own brands...

  • This is really disappointing... I love love love bagels. I just cant live without bread to fill me up- bagels are very good at filling the hole (no pun intended!) Any alternative suggestions for a bread lover?

  • I have no idea whether this is any good for you but I like to have a toasted bagel with english mustard and one slice of wafer thin ham. low fat and high carb. Having said that, thats probably more of a lunch than a snack... Can you go orange from eating too many satsumas? I thin k I'm addicted!
  • Ha ha I love it!! Dont know if you have ever seen the Marks and Spencers Simply Food adverts in the UK? My god they are like food porn...shouldnt be allowed!!
  • Thanks, thats good to know! I reckon that without little rewards now and then i could get a bit resentful and that would spell disaster for the old lifestyle change....
  • I've been following a low fat diet since 1st Jan and whilst its still early days I cant help craving certain things like proper curry (I've been making low fat versions) and cake and...oh god so many things ! Anyway, my hubby and I have agreed to a proper treat once a month at the end of the month but this still…
  • Thanks for the tips. I'll try to put them into practice this week! Cottage cheese is a revelation. It pretty much goes with everything I love it! Especially the pineapple stuff..
  • I have the same problem mate. I've found that eating healthy, fiddly things like satsumas or pod peas keeps me occupied and hunger at bay when I'm watching TV. I guess its the popcorn principle but not as fun.. Hope it helps! x
  • What do I do? I have terrible problems with insomnia and I get so so hungry during the night. The problem is that I cant get to sleep in the first place, and then the hunger makes it impossible! I usually have bowl of raisin wheats with skimmed milk and that does the trick but I would rather eat nothing like normal…
  • Brilliant. I'm new to the frequent weighing and was getting very dismayed by the angry hand of the scales... particularly as I was already feeling rotten (it being TOM)... I think its very good advice not to weigh self during that time. xx
  • Hello all! I'm a new user and I'm very excited by this website! I want to lose 26 lbs by the summer. I gave myself a massive and 4 month long 'reward' once that tight wedding dress came off and now I'm regretting it! I'm going to the gym as often as I can but I'm also using the wii fit programme. Does anyone have any…
