I've heard programs like the Liquid Amino Diet can help for people who can't exercise but want to learn to eat cleaner and lose weight at the same time. Might be something to consider. Hope things get better with your knee.

It is sooooo important that you take in enough calories AND protein when working out. Sometimes the answer to losing weight, is eat more. Eat more CLEAN food though, no processed junk.

I've heard of doing a 40/30/30 meal plan. Meaning that each of your meals would consist of 40% carbs (not bread carbs, but fruit/veggie carbs for the most part), 30% protein and 30% healthy fat.
