Hey y'all, I just got married at the end of March so I've been stalking all the wife blogs and I'm so happy to combine my "get healthy" plan with my "be the best possible wife" plan! My health goals are to drop some more weight (I've dropped and regained the same 20-40 lbs at least three times in my 20s and 30s) but to do…

I never thought about the headache being caused by the build-up of waste. So interesting. I know that drinking tons of water always keeps me from getting headaches, but never thought of it just that way. Do keep up the water. And it's not that hard to succeed. You can do it!

Just to clarify, I'm totally not going to obsess over my diet in France. I mean, it's my freakin' HONEYMOON and I'll be in PARIS! But I don't want to carbo load all the time and feel ill, either. I'm just hoping to figure out a way to make my meals mostly protein so I can have some pastries when I really want them. And I…

I guess I'm out of the contest? MyCyone said she'd put my name back on the sheet after deleting it, but I'm not there. Guess I've been reporting my weight for no reason. Blah! Oh well. Good luck y'all!

I was worrying about this same thing this morning! I'm a March bride, too, but we're eloping. I bought a cute white dress (at White House Black Market, for any other elopers out there) and got it in a 14. I'm now buying a 10 pants, but can still fit in my 14 pants (although they're baggy.) I just thought "What if the dress…

I have the same problem, Rishya. And it's apparently b/c I missed a W/I, although I, too, thought they started 1/13.

I love jumping jacks. I do them every commercial break of Biggest Loser and also do about 50 every gym visit. They're great for getting your heart rate up! Water is awesome, too. This is a good challenge!

I want to be in! But my name was left off the spreadsheet despite checking in originally. I couldn't add my weight this week because of that. (Friday was a WI day, right?) I'm working hard over here. Ran 2 miles before work this morning, worked out an hour in the gym on Saturday, walked 3.5 miles with fiance yesterday. Got…

You'd think that the first week of the new year would be the easist to convince myself to exercise. But man, it's been a struggle getting back into the habit. I did go to the gym a couple of times over the weekend (It's about an hour from my town, but in the town where my fiance lives, so it's not possible for me to go…

Can't remember if I voted, but I like Teal Terminators, too. And I third your co-captain vote. I'd love to pitch in, but getting married in March means I can't commit to anything anymore. Sorry!

I'm 5'4" and 182 as of today. Have been as high as 216, but that was a few years ago. I go back and forth with my weigh, which I really can't stand and have to stop doing. My goal right now is to just get to 165 by my wedding (March 23!!!!) and see where I can go from there. I've never been skinny and I have a largerish…

Hi everybody! I'll start. I'm 32 (and forgot to send my age for the spreadsheet!) and I've been heavy all my life. I've lost weight a few times by going low carb and exercising, but I've gained it back when I get lazy and lose focus. But I'm becoming a wife at the end of March, so I have a new reason to stay on track!…

Hey y'all! I'm Ann, 32, need to shed at least 30 pounds. I'm getting married March 23 (!!!!) and, even though we're just eloping, I still really want to look my very absolute best. Plus, more importantly, I want to start my life as a wife in good shape, with energy and happy with myself. I've lost 40-50 pounds twice before…

This is awesome! The only way I've had any success over the years is by being low carb. It seems to cure everything! But the thing is, if I just taste one cookie, then it's a year of high-carb living to follow, it seems. This post has inspired me to get back in gear and regain my focus. Excellent results! Good job

I'm in! I'm getting married at the end of March and want to start my life as a wife in the best shape ever. This challenge will be perfect!

SW: 185 Week 1: 184.2 Week 2: 182.2 Week 3: 181.6 Week 4: 181.8 Week 5: 183.6 Week 6: 182.2 Week 7: 181.6 Ugh. I'm so sick of seeing basically NO MOVEMENT on the freakin' scale. I've joined a gym though, so I think it's going to get better, either on the scale or in pants sizes.

Awesome! Congrats! My goal was to be overweight by Christmas, but it looks like I'm going to be a few off from that. Way to go!

Mine ride up, so I usually end up just going commando when I run now (Sorry ... TMI!) But today, I didn't think, and put a pair of yoga pants on over them. The pants were slipping down the entire run, and the undies were riding up. I'm glad I was running in a small rural town in the middle of the afternoon when no one was…

I thought my goal this time was just a 10. I have so much trouble maintaining that I was thinking 10 should be doable for more than a month or two, maybe I should just stop there. But I fit into a size 10 this weekend (well, 10 Curvy at Ann Taylor, but 10 nonetheless) and I'm still way too fat. (Seriously. My stomach looks…

So sick of being stuck, so today I joined a gym! Had a pretty decent first workout, too. Hopefully it'll result in losing flab and more sizes (although, despite my weight being stuck, I was able to put on a size 10 pants at Ann Taylor thsi weekend. Down from a 16 SW: 185 Week 1: 184.2 Week 2: 182.2 Week 3: 181.6 Week 4:…

I'll be with my future in-laws for Christmas, and last time they saw me I was 15 pounds and almost 2 sizes bigger. I'm hoping to be down at least 5 more pounds by the time they see me next, but mostly hoping to drop that last 1/2 size so my 12s fit perfectly. My attack plan is to go off carbs between now and then. It's the…

Hey y'all, I'm going to try Dukan again. I've been working for years and years to shed pounds, having some success from time to time and stuff, but I've been in major stall mode. I attempted Dukan about three months ago but didn't really put any effort in. This time, I'm going to give it real focus and hope for the best.…

Terrible, terrible week. Bad family stuff (not tragic, just tear-inducing) over Thanksgiving, generally eating too much. Hoping it'll serve as a high-calorie/carb cycle to kick start some loss. Plus, TOM on the way this week, should equal a big drop. SW: 185 Week 1: 184.2 Week 2: 182.2 Week 3: 181.6 Week 4: 181.8 Week 5:…

Not good. I keep bouncing around during the week. I was up to 185 on Wednesday, but back down to 181.8 today. HUH? SW: 185 Week 1: 184.2 Week 2: 182.2 Week 3: 181.6 Week 4: 181.8

This has been a weird week weight-wise. I was up to 184.4 on Thursday, but down 3 pounds from that today. I have no idea how this stuff works, but I like that every number posted below is lower than the one above it ;) Wedding wise, AHHHH! We're planning to have a "just us" wedding, trying to determine where though. And we…

I find that running plus a lowish carb diet (I don't gorge on bacon or skip on veggies, but I do avoid all pastas, breads, sweets, potatoes, etc.) helps my stomach shrink at a much better rate than a low fat diet does.

I weigh a lot more than y'all, but I'm trying to shed pounds before getting married, too. I'm trying to keep my focus on not starting life as a wife this size instead of losing weight just for the one day in the dress. I never succeed at dropping weight for events before, but I think losing weight for my new life is going…

Awesome week! The ring I was patiently anticipating for the holidays came early! I'M ENGAGED!!! No date set yet, though likely March. Tiny wedding. So I'm not stressing over losing to fit into a dress, but do want to start married life in my best shape possible. Talk about awesome inspiration! SW: 185 Week 1: 184.2 Week 2:…

Huge news! My earlier post about assuming I'd be getting married next year is now TRUE!!! He popped the question (with a GORGEOUS ring) on Monday! I think we're doing a "just us" kind of wedding, and I'm thinking in March, after the holidays/my birthday are out of the way. Don't want the anniversary getting overshadowed…

I FINALLY saw movement on the scale! It's been hovering between 185 and 188 for a month, and this week, I'm at 183. Three pounds in one week (altough this is always the week of the month that I see the scale move most, but I'm not going to let that intel lower my high!) I've switched from SLOOOOOOWLY running 30 minutes 3…
