I dont' log on the weekends but try to stay close to my cal goal. So it is my cheat days but I hardly ever go over. I guess I feel like I am cheating because I don't have to log. 9 times out of 10 I log anyways and am under goal. I am already at my goal weight so I am thinking about really having a cheat day every now and…

Any team/competitive sports and zumba. I "heart" zumba.

I swear by the Belvita Crackers that are complex carbs. They are the only pre work out food that gets me through back to back advanced classes at the gym. I usually get 1200 cal burns out of both classes (per my polar HRM) and I don't crash if I eat these. If I don't have them, it is a sad story and I drag butt through…

You are amazing and so inspirational. I already hit my goal but your post has me rethinking my goal. Maybe I want to go smaller after seeing you. You are right, I would label you automatically as one of "those" girls. I am realizing that "those" girls usually have stories too and some have struggled with weight like me.…

Oh my goodness! Yay!! I want to jump up and down for you, get ready for your new addiction. Can't say I didn't warn ya!!

This week - Homemade salsa on anything and peaches from my tree, they are super sweet!!

It took me a little over 7 months to lose it. I had some bad months and some good months. You have much less to lose than I did, good luck on your journey.

I am crying reading your post. It is so crazy to me that I could inspire someone, I am still trying to wrap my head around my journey myself. You CAN do this, I promise. At the end of the day it is all mental strength. To be honest, I still hate to run with a passion and every few minutes have to tell myself not to stop. I…

Sorry for the delay, I was on vacay! My polar is designed for water, I use it for swimming laps also. I just washed it off after the race in the spray hose and it works like a charm, I love it. I did train for the mudder, there are some crazy hills behind my house that I ran up and down at least 3 times per week before my…

You are so sweet. Just keep at it, I hate to run even now. The first 10 minutes are the hardest then you just turn to auto mode and can run forever. For me, it is all a mind game, I get bored easily and have to tell myself, you are not going to stop. I have found that jog/run intervals (5.5mph & 7.0mph) really help me to…

Oh Yes, I am addicted now! I can't wait to do the warrior dash when it comes back to town. Hopefully I will be healed up and ready to go by then!! My next mud/obstacle run I have registered for is in Sept. Have fun!!
-
Congrats I can't wait to get a few behind me!
-
I get lots of remarks on my cheesy smile, it just goes with my personality, I am a HUGE dork!!
-
Go for it, you will have a blast!!
-
Yes, here are a few. Don't worry what you look like before the race, you will be trashed after. With that said wear knee pads, tall socks, duct tape your shoes on and something to keep your hair out of your face. In your bag pack wet wipes, a towel and face clenser wipes, a change of clothes and dry shoes. Enjoy it, it is…

I am a big goof and am sitting hear with big tears rolling down my cheeks reading these responses. Everyone is so sweet with their comments. I also see myself through the "fat lens" and it is so hard to actually realize the weight loss and what my body looks like now. I focus on my trouble spots and can't "smell the roses"…
-
Oh goodness, now you made me cry. I guess I never really expected to inspire anyone but just wanted to let others know that it was possible with time and discipline. My next race is in Sept and I hope to heal and get back to training. The mudders are so much fun!!

Thanks for the info on the fractures, wow two at the same time; you are one tough cookie. I have actually broken both of my feet this year but not at the same time thank goodness. About the running, I promise you can do it. I just started with C25k and worked up from there. I don't tend to run a 5k on the treadmill now but…

You made me laugh. I did run up a 200 yard hill to the finish line on a broken foot. I didn't know it was broken and probably made it worse but wanted a good time. I do feel great and thanks for the sweet comments.
-
Wear knee pads too, mine are so torn up and I would have gone faster with them.
-
bump - Sad face!!
-
Wow, you are amazing!! I am super jealous!
-
Thank you, it was the 5k mud/obstacle run in denison. I think it was the first one and they will have another one in sept. The website for the next race is www.mudrush.org. I will be there if I am healed. It would be fun to get a group from MFP there!

Yes, that helps more than you know. Thanks so much. Once my broken foot heals I will run longer distances. I also played Volleyball and ran Track so that must be the culprit. Darn the luck! Just curious - what are guys thoughts on girls with bulky quads or larger quads?
