  • So change my One and see if that helps for tomorrow? My HR seems more accurate? I appreciate the help so very much -- Hopefully I can get it right with your help! and just to be sure I change the stride in the One to 2ft 4.1 inches?
  • Here is today so far -- I haven't changed anything at all but it seems better? One -- Charge HR I used exercise mode on the HR both times but only on the One in the afternoon -- only thing I did any different today and at the moment it is HR Steps 16.918 Miles - 7.17 Calories Burned -- 2053 ONE Steps - 19409 Miles - 8.23…
  • I have never added stride length on either device.
  • Oddly enough right now my calories burned are less then 50 calories apart. Maybe a fluke? Also today during my "walk" I put the HR into exercise mode (the One I did not) and it seems pretty on par with yesterday.
  • I am not to concerned about the steps though -- it is calories burned at the end of the day when I am creating a deficit to lose weight that is the issue.
  • The 2 activities were just the treadmill -- set to 3.0mph for an 1.5 hours in the morning and 1/2 hour in the evening. Charge HR Reading -- One Reading -- Not exactly sure where it says Average HR though.
  • Well day 1 is over and here is where I am at Charge HR Steps -- 17316 Calories Burned -- 2553 Steps -- 5 Miles -- 7.34 One Steps -- 20533 Calories Burned -- 2293 Steps -- 8 Miles -- 8.73 The only thing making me uneasy is the calories burned -- 260 plus a 500 calorie deficit leads to a pretty big deficit.
  • You guys are amazing! Thank you!! I am going to try it out today  -- Will be picking it up later this evening! I will probably do both for awhile because I trust my One (I think..lol) Not worried so much about extra steps or stairs as long as the calories burned at the end of the day aren't crazy weird. I…
  • I think I read this somewhere else too!! I have always loved my One and thought it to be accurate -- lost 25lbs so far! How was it determined it was overestimating? Do tell. I think I will take advantage of the sale and grab the HR -- try it for 30 days (wearing the one as well) and see how it works for ME -- I think they…
  • For her -- Her Fitbit average is like 2200-2300 a day so I think her MFP was pretty low - she bumped up her "goal" to 1690 and that made her numbers a bit better. Not to mention her timezones were a bit off which could have been causing her to be in the red every morning. Now for me. I do enter walking/jogging when doing…
  • Ok so if this is her most recent one why is the adjustment so high -- mine are always negative.
  • I am wondering if it has something to do with allowing MFP to track steps (USE STEPS TO ADJUST YOUR DAILY CALORIE GOALS) -- I never knew this feature existed until she pointed it out. I added it to mine and it messed with my day -- unchecked it -- uninstalled my app and reinstalled and it seems good again. I will link her…
  • She syncs before she goes to bed so within that hour it shouldn't change that much. I have never gone to bed in the green and woke up in the red! I even told her to add even a glass a water last night before bed to make sure it was syncing. I mean I get if it is noon and she has the whole day to burn but at 11pm it…
  • Care to share your favs?
  • I am in a small town in southwestern Ontario. We have quest bars at one store but she wants almost $4 per bar!
  • Anyone try pure protein bars? They look affordable and accessible!
  • Thanks! I don't really track my protein so maybe best to start there -- I guess I just figured I was eating a bar of something so might as well make it more protein/fiber
  • Sounds about right. I checked back in mine -- 17,356 and my burn for the day was 2588 I have a chart where I track my deficit -- I take my burn from FB subtract my food from MFP and make sure the deficit is 500 or more. MFP - *You've earned 662 extra calories from exercise today Been working so far!
  • Thanks! I will check it out
  • Just trying to get the closest guesstimate possible with the tools I have. I'm just wondering if it is better to wear my HRM during the "walks" on the treadmill or if my fitbit is close enough. Also if I am correct in logging everything on the MFP side and letting the fitbit do it's thing. Maybe I will do a couple test…
  • Well must be doing something right -- 1.8lb loss since Tuesday
  • Just walking for now that is why I figured I would add a little something else
  • Thanks all -- I would never push her but want to make it something fun we can learn together - if she is out, she is out at least we tried - Hey who is to say I will enjoy it! She might like it better then me...lol. Anyway I didn't mean this to be all about my daughter, more just something we can/do learn together - no…
  • We have the Wii and LOVE it -- Just Dance is our fav! Ya that is why I kinda separated the comments -- the learning to run/jog for us and the lifting is for me  Let me just say my daughter DOES NOT need to lose weight at all she is perfect in every way however I think because I didn't learn to exercise or care that…
  • I have the one -- I want to love the Charge/Charge HR but I don't think I can do the bracelet daily. Love my one -- Love that I can tuck it away and forget it....never lost or washed it either
  • I am one that doesn't do well with the bracelet and love my fitbit One -- I clip it into my bra and when I change for bed it comes off and goes on my wrist, I set it to track sleep before bed, love the gentle alarm I get in the morning too! Then I turn off the timer when I get up and it comes off my wrist and back on me…
  • My phone is the exact same -- I have the fitbit one :)
  • Sorry should have specified that I used my HRM for anything over normal before my fitbit so although my heartrate may not have gotten in the perfect range when walking it was the best guesstimate I had -- Now with the fitbit I just use that for my walks and anything that gets the heart rate up I use my HRM
  • I did purchase the small and found that exact same thing -- it bothered my wrist bones -- Maybe given more time or if I had worn it higher up a bit it would have been better but I didn't like that I had no play in it at all. I mean if my wrist grows even a bit the small is of no use -- They didn't have large to try so I…
  • I have the polar FT4 as well and only use it for extra's -- If I am exercising, going for an unusually long walk, jog....etc. That type of HRM isn't meant for all day wear. I find it pretty accurate for stuff that is above and beyond my norm. For day to day stuff and just to wear to do not much I have my Fitbit One.
