Trying different options - can't decide.

I wish I could just eat one portion of nuts. I normally eat the entire can once I start. I like the grapes, bananas, greek yogurt idea - those are one helping and you can't binge. No carrots for this guy - yucky. What is a good dip option for veggie like cauliflower that you can just slather on and not kill your diet?
-
I was thinking WHOLE FOODS has all those things like granola, nuts, trail mix, dried fruit, etc you can bag yourself. Are those good options? I need something I can go crazy on and not have it ruin my day.

I do like cauliflower and broccoli (no carrots or celery though). I could maybe eat veggies as a snack with a big thing of ranch dip (fat free). A tbsp doesn't seem like enough to cover the veggies.

FORCE is NOT water proof and you CAN NOT swim with it!

So it sounds like the answer is LOG THEM. I wish MFP worked like WW - I was so much more successful for some reason on the POINT SYSTEM but can't afford $18 a month.
-
That seems SO high. Doesn't seem like any deficit. Right now I am comfy when I eat 2000 and don't feel like I am missing out too much. 2700 is more like where I was when I eat nothing but fast food.

32 310 pounds 6" 3" Where should I be?
-
Can you please share the things you did to lose that much weight that fast? I have about 100 pounds I would like to use in a year. No idea how to do it though.
-
Is there a board for FITSTAR questions? My biggest question - so when I finish a workout does it log it automatically over at MFP if they are connected?
-
Wish you could just type in DAILY BURN and it would list workouts. You know you can type in INSANITY or p90X and it comes up with choices. You would think DAILY BURN is so popular it would be in there too.
-
I think I found a workaround - haven't worked out yet so not sure the connection works but I went into the FitStar app and into SERVICES TAB. There you can connect to MyFitnessPal

So I quit smoking regular cigarettes on Jan 1st. Have not smoked yet. With that being said my finace and I do smoke vaporizer pens BUT they are the no nicotine kind. So we are not still addicted to nicotine - just the act of smoking. We rarely use them except when we drink or around people who are smoking and get tempted.…

Right - saw the LOOP. You have to wear a heart rate chest strap with it right? And I don't think the loop links to MFP. Boo. This one looks cool but once again doesn't link to MFP - http://www.mioglobal.com/Shop/MIO-Alpha/product.aspx?productid=1&deptid=1&pricecat=2

Wish there was a wristband fitness tracker that did HEART RATE too plus the steps, sleep, etc. ANY IDEAS? So if your lifting weights, throwing your arms around, etc how does it know difference between that and steps by the way?
-
I am pretty much convinced to buy a Fitbit Force BUT one big question. I don't really run/walk. I like to workout (circuit training). Is it still going to be useful? Isn't it mostly for steps?
-
But does POLAR automatically update My Fitness Pal?
-
Nothing huh?

Thanks for input. I guess I only feel like everyone is looking because that is all I am doing it looking around at all the different people the whole time and what they are doing. I can't help myself.

Website fo PACT? I searched but can't find it.

Videos and workout plans and stuff like that would be a cool addition to this site. WHAT ABOUT APP'S - I have seen some on your phone that lead you through a workout through the screen and headphones -- any good recommendations?
-
Great ideas here. I like the idea of a program (not just doing same dvd over and over). I will check all those ideas out - thanks!

Fitness Blender looks cool but every video seems to be a women routine (or at least woman trainer). I don't want to get "tank top arms" -- first one I saw - ha ha. HASFIT seems a little more my style but all the workouts are like 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes - is that going to be effective in losing weight?

Going good so far - just logging food and eating better. Going to start working out soon but my fiancé has been in hospital/ER for five days now and it's a little hard to do anything else.
-
Just went and got some variety of bars and shakes you guys mentioned. Thanks for the advice. To those who say I will fail - thanks for the vote of confidence AND maybe I will. But if it's extra work I will for sure. That is why these shakes and meal bars work so well for me. Thanks again everyone.

I actually don't eat oranges because of the peeling part - waste of time.
-
Yeah - I can cook something quick in morning for breakfast (done it before) but I don't want too - I have better things to do like trying to wake up, watching news, get dressed, brushing teeth, etc. I hear you about making things in advance but I don't eat leftovers so that would not work for me. Don't know why - just hate…

We are quiting on June 13th for my fiances 30th birthday (it will be easier to do together and she is not ready yet). I mean I don't run at the gym because it hurts my knees and calves so bad. I think a 5K might be hard to manage since I don't even run or walk at the gym. I do elyptical typically.

Those are surprisingly not the answers I thought I would get -- I figured everyone would say to buy something from Walmart and not to touch fast food. Interesting. I unfortunately can't control my mouth when they ask me if I want sour cream and cheese at Qdoba so that might be a bad choice - I always say yes and will never…

Well when I don't have a plan laid out for me I end up ordering out or going to a fast food place. If I have to go to a cookbook or recipe website then I get lazy and eat out instead. Trying to take the work out of it for myself and thought this might be a good option. If there is a free version I would love to check it…
