Hello, also from Rock Hill. :) I'm a member at the Omni here, which is an absolutely amazing gym. They offer every single fitness class you can imagine, and they have this really cool cardio cinema where they dim the lights, blast cool air, and play a movie on a big screen... like working out in a movie theater! Glad to…

There must have been something in the air last week because I did the same thing as you... as well as a few of my other MFP friends! If I were to list all of the gross things I ate last week, I might be banned from this site. The good news is that we all re-dedicated ourselves to our healthy lifestyles THIS week. Good luck…

For me it was stuff like chips... going to a Mexican restaurant and going through 2 or 3 baskets of chips and salsa between friends was probably an entire DAY'S worth of calories in just the chips... not to mention the rice and the burritos and sour cream from the meal!

Actually, yes, I do feel that it is from my shoes. I ran for about 5 months prior to getting these shoes, and I absolutely did NOT see the results that I saw after wearing my Easytones. Of course my leg muscles got stronger from simply putting the work in and I don't attribute my firmer booty to JUST the shoes... but I…

I have the Easytones and I can definitely say that they work for me. I get on the elliptical 4-5 times a week for about 45 minutes to an hour and wear them every time I run. My calf muscles, quads, hamstrings, and booty are SO tight and firm just from running... no strength training involved! I have always had a big booty…

Breakfast: Chick-fil-a chicken biscuit with hashbrowns Lunch: 4 slices of Papa John's pizza with extra cheese and mushrooms, smothering the crust in their garlic sauce Dinner: Massaman curry with chicken, potatos, peanuts, and pineapple with a spring roll. Dessert: Dairy Queen Brownie Batter Blast Blizzard That would be my…

For me, eating out is hard because of the sodium. I don't have high blood pressure, but I still always want to stay within my sodium limits because I hate that "bloated" feeling (and I'm also so anal that seeing any of my numbers in red at the end of the day makes me want to cry). I always, always, always pull up the…

This is what I've been doing. I am a HUGE pasta addict and probably ate noodles in some form at least twice a week before I decided to get healthy. Now when I get a pasta craving, I just use spaghetti squash, light Ragu, and plenty of veggies and it is just as tasty and filling as the real thing.

I actually burn more calories on the elliptical versus the treadmill. I set the elliptical to "random hills" so that it adds resistance and go for 45 minutes and usually burn anywhere from 500-800 calories depending on how hard I push myself. I like the elliptical because of the low impact, which allows me to go even…

It's been working for me too... I think that maybe the bad weekends perk my metabolism up a little, since I might not be eating enough during the week.

I agree with all the other advice. When people on this site tell you to eat back your exercise calories and to try not to stay under your alloted calories for the day, it's because they know what they are talking about. I ignored all of the sound advice for my first few weeks on here and was shocked to not see the scale…

I had this exact same problem a few weeks ago. My family always takes turns cooking meals... I'd cook one night, my brother the next, my sister the next, and so on. I let them know ahead of time that I was dieting and that I might not be able to eat all or any of what they cooked, and made sure that I brought enough…

Me too, and I LOVE them. I've always been a big-booty girl... and now with these shoes, my big-booty is going from just flab to a fit, muscular bubble butt! My only complaint is that my toes tend to hurt when I run long distances, I can only assume from gripping to maintain balance because of how the shoe is made to do…

I completely agree! Everytime I want to get off the elliptical or I want to eat a huge slice of pizza instead of a salad, I just repeat the same mantra over and over in my head: "Wedding dress... wedding dress... wedding dress..."
-
The digital one I have is from Wal-Mart and was only $19 and some change and totally worth the extra $10 you'd spend.

Getting married next May. :) I'm trying to lose weight BEFORE I go wedding dress shopping so that I won't cry when I have to get a dress in a bigger size than I'd want. Thus far I've lost almost 11 pounds in about a month of doing MFP (and that's with TWO family vacations in that month, one being a cruise... now THAT was…

I am on a beach trip with my family right now and was wondering this exact same thing. I've actually been googling for the past hour on how to calculate beach calories, lol. Usually I go to the gym and get on the treadmill or the elliptical and just take the calories that the machine gives me based on my…

8 salmon fillets (or adjust for how many you need.... this is a family-sized recipe!) •1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil •1 teaspoon sesame oil •5 tablespoons soy sauce •4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar •3 tablespoons honey •3 teaspoons light brown sugar •1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger •1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, more…
