green tea? i heard that but can't drink it myself - keeps me up too late.....which might means it works, lol.

hello women over 50! can i join? i'm 51 and getting back to being active after a bad accident couple of years ago. i joined MFP 2 months ago, the day i was allowed to throw away the horrid crutches. how does this work? check in once a week or something? ps. i posted a question in general diet forum which maybe some of you…

why only 5 lb weights? are you very weak from illness or injury or did someone tell you to lift so light? your purse probably weighs more than that......

i do eat a good amount of exercise cals back, no problem. (and i don't over estimate them- MFP's cal burns for things are way way over imho). i get what you're saying though- why it only gave me 20 more cals wen i switched from 2 lbs/wk to 1.5 lbs/wk- cause actually it would have been under 1200/day at 2 lbs/wk. got it. so…

just a thought...i don't know if it works since i love the taste of coffee, the stronger the better, so only add a dash of NF milk so as not to change the lovely coffee taste..... but what if you bought flavored coffees instead of flavored creamers? like you could even throw some cinnamon into reg coffee beans when you're…

only a 20% chance of family eating me, however retaking it for my cats ups my chances to 60%. so that's what they are thinking when i open my eyes to find them sitting in a circle around me staring?

Oikos is the one i've found to be the most tasty by a long shot over all the other greek yogurts.

"moves like jagger" by maroon 5. makes me wanna run out of gym screaming.

jan 1st 2013? no problem! if you meant next week tho, no way. sorry.

rofl. i was just thinking sorta same thing. in my world it is better to have a bit of chocolate than go on a mass murder spree when it is that TOM.

haha, i actually ave some in frig that i need to cook today. i just steam it (usually w/ some homemade no salt veggie stock instead of water) and squeeze lemon on it before serving. the trick it to cut leaves up small.

i have more than 10 pounds to lose but am on same calories range as you if you want to add me. :)

i would track it from xx hour to xx hour, ya know 24 hour blocks that way when you switch shift times again you don't get all confused. you can also rename your meals here if you want~ for example: First meal, Second meal, etc. so the labels of breakfast, lunch, dinner don't throw you off when changing shift times. good…

everything! *twirls in a circle and skips away* love hummus.

nuts? greek yogurt? and just wanted to say fish ~ there are so many choices maybe exploring some that you have never had (cooked different ways) would help relieve boredom?

i personally found that if i eat cold cereal for breakfast, no matter how high fiber and organic i will be 'carb scrounging' late night that day. it just leads to a struggling night for me. but imho you don't want to eat the same thing for any one meal every day anyways so maybe it is time to explore all the other options…

the darker/bolder, the better! jamaican blue mountain when i can get it but mostly joe's organic fair trade either italian roast or witch's brew. no sweeteners~ just a bit of skim milk cause i want to taste the coffee not anything else. ahhh, the sound of DBF grinding the beans while i'm still in bed....

i'll log intense, break into sweat, flurry of house cleaning (lol, don't check to see how often that happens) or any yard work/gardening cause my BMR was literally in coma, in bed all day, in wheelchair, etc for the 2 years before joining MFP. so ya never know why someone is logging something that seems like ordinary daily…

ooookay. (??)

lol, me too. i was gonna say 'i live here - why haven't i heard about it ?" if it turned out to be something new to me. btw- don't you find if you stay up drinking water at night to get it all in....that ya end up having to get up in middle of night to pee? i like to have a cup of tea before bed but i know i will pay for…

omg no! those things only go on when i'm leaving house (and in winter only if where i'm going will have me taking all the layers off) and they come flying off the very second i walk back into house. sleeping in one would be hell. we both spend 99% of the time inside house in just t-shirt and undies year round (okay nothing…

under 1200 is fine for you. wide sweeping generalizations don't apply to everyone. if you know you don't easily fit into the ranges set for 'the majority'- change them to suit your reality.

"i substitute two meals a days with meal replacement shakes " ^^^ that's your problem. one: those Slim-Fast type of meal replacement shakes are not going to fill you up like REAL food will. no wonder you're so hungry at night. two: really the whole point is to change your diet to something that you can maintain for life-…

i have your proof for you! 2 days ago my scale said i had suddenly dropped 20 pounds since last weigh in- 20 pounds? huh? i stepped off, let it reset and got back on- still 20 pounds down. i had 1 cup of coffee w/ skim milk and went back in bathroom i re-weighed myself and i had gained back all 20 pounds. from one cup of…

sorry but no, that is not okay. you only left your body 160 calories yesterday to do all those things it needs to do to keep you alive. the usual number suggested is at least a minimum of 1200 calories 'left over' for a healthy body. 160 calories to run your life on is deep into the unhealthy range. you're going to need to…

wow-this thread is still going? well i guess that depends on your own definition of the word "healthy" ninerbuff. . i'm sorry. ((hugs)). average age in my family is over 100. there will be 4 people at the holiday dinner table over 100 in fact this year. no, i never said that all you do here is tell people to eat…

now that makes sense. i usually consume a lot of whole foods (fruits and veggies) and have a low thirst drive. trying to force 8 glasses of water in means running to pee every hour all day long. btw- i also take lessons from my pets like if you feed felines the obligate carnivore diet they are suppose to consume (no…

you are a genesis! i forgot all about jicama and how much i love it. thanks for the reminder, will be picking one up today when i go food shopping.
