I usually go with Wasa/Ryvita crispbread or Bagel Thins.

I've been having trouble with shin splints too, ever since I started C25K. The first couple days went fine, but after the third, I just couldn't jog anymore. To be fair, I mistakenly did all three days in a row instead of spacing them out over a week. I still walk everyday, and each time I give interval jogging a shot, but…

I absolutely struggle with this as well... Bump for later!

Hi! I'm 27/f and I've been here about 70 days, So far, this is the most successful weight loss plan I've ever had! I'd love a new friend, and I also do weigh-ins on Friday. Feel free to add me :)

Wow, so many things annoy me at the gym, not to even mention in the locker room... - When twoi friends sit at a station not doing anything, just sitting around and chattin - When there's a jillion free machines but the bro who's gonna make an *kitten* out of himself on the elliptical gets on the one next to me - When the…

I'm gonna get back on track with the C25K program, which I started recently. Week 1 went great but pain in my tibias is keeping me from moving on to Week 2. Other than that, I'm gonna get more into strength training at the gym, try machines other than the ones where I can sit and check my email while I do it, haha.

I chose a nap too today... And cake. But then around 4pm I realized that I'd feel even worse than I already did if I didn't at least TRY to slob along the treadmill while watching a show. So I did it! And so can you :)

This happens to me too! After almost exactly 15 minutes. I've tried repositioning to my heels but it feels so unnatural. I've always thought it had to do with my shoes though.. That they were either too tight/too long, so my feet kept slipping?
-
I'm having a hard time getting back on track too.. Although I did log everything I ate over the holidays. I too have been feeling way more tired than usual, and obviously the only logical explanation is that it's because of the junk! The only thing that helped was actually working out. I'd have no energy but tell myself…

I'm a 38DDD and the only thing that works for me is wearing a softcup bra like a Sloggi (no underwire) under the best sportsbra I've ever tried on - a Large from H&M, razorback.
-
I just started last week too! I did the three days for Week 1 consecutively though, and my tibias are the worse for it.. I'm gonna keep doing a few week 1 days this week, before going over to week 2.

Despite being dead set on having a proper, no-guilt cheat day, I ended up doing a jog/walk today! I wanted to try out the HRM and other fitness accessories I got for Christmas :)
-
I am logging, which I always do, even on cheat/binge days... But I'm not beating myself up over it. I'll know I'll be over, but it's okay! It could be a LOT worse.
-
Think of it this way: if you can keep at it through the holidays, then you can definitely do it! ....At least that's what I keep telling myself!

Thank you so much for all the input! It's interesting to see how the changes affect different people. When I've taken from this is that water definitely helps! Eating better probably means getting more nutrients and natural good stuff, as opposed to processed food deprived of any vitamins etc. Working out a lot more (and…

Yeah, I noticed it was especially hard on my knees and ankles, which aren't that solid to begin with. That's why I usually stick to low-impact cardio workouts. I could probably never do jogging or spinning as a regular, daily workout either. I like the idea of using it occasionally, or just part of it as a daily routine,…

Yes, the soreness was really bad....I could barely walk the next day. I'm wondering if it's the right kind of workout for me. I'm used to cardio, mostly high intensity low speed workouts on the elliptical and treadmill. It's good that I get to work out new muscle groups, but I'm not sure I should keep the shred as my main…

I just got the Yoga Meltdown too. I'll be starting the 30 DS and maybe even the 6 week 6pack next week as I'll be gymless for a month. I looked at the Yoga Meltdown online and it looked nice! Although it seems to burn more calories than regular yoga. How do you guys log it? I know 30 DS is supposed to be logged as circuit…

Bump! I'm traveling next week, on a transatlantic flight, and I could really use some tips. I get unusually hungry when traveling like that, because of boredom and fatigue (like not sleeping the night before). I was definitely thinking of bringing nuts and dried fruits, and crackers. How about sandwiches made with good…

Do you mean caffeine in pill form like NoDoze? I drink coffee but the pills usually make me pretty shaky. Where do you even get Ephedrine?

ME TOO! I lost 5 kgs the first month, and I do have days when I go over, usually weekends, but my weekly average is usually pretty good! I exercise, and eat back some but not always all of my exercise calories. I usually weigh in once a week, but I like to keep track of the ups and downs. Lately I've been locked at one…

Hi! I'm relatively new to the site as well, only started a month, but I'm seeing changes already! And the support system here is incredible. I'm sending a friend request your way
-
I'm happy you asked the question because I've been wondering about that too! I'll be starting the 30 DS around mid-December, during a gymless 1 month Christmas break. I'll be walking as well to add to the cardio. I hope it will be enough!

I experienced the same thing when I did my workout earlier in the day. Then I spent the rest of the day, either at uni, work or at home just fantasizing about food! Since then I've tried to do my workouts in the evening, but never earlier than 2pm, otherwise they throw my whole day off track! I used to snack every single…

Totally normal! I stalled the 2nd week as well, after an initial 6lb loss. It just takes time for your body to get used to its new routine  Just keep doing what you've been doing, working out and eating right and you will see results soon!
-
Well, first of all, is it only with stuff like cupcakes and other "bad" snacks that you blow your budget? If so then maybe try to restrict to one day of the week, where you're allowed to have naughty foods without feeling guilty. That definitely helped me while starting up! If it's all food, meaning that you're constantly…

Yes!!! I've only been at this for four weeks, but the weekends are always the hardest time. I usually go out with friends on saturdays, and then I ruin both that day and the day after, craving greasy salty foods. I've even tried planning ahead, doing an extra long workout the same day, or having an especially good week to…

Thank you so much for all the tips! I think I'll be trying the body weight exercises along with the 30 DS. I saw that Jillian has a new DVD coming out in a couple week, might get that one as well.
-
That's exactly what I do too! I like to have a good week before, lots of working out and healthy eating, then your weekly average will still hold. Don't drink too many beers or sugary drinks, a flavored vodka with club soda is super yum! Or just regular mixed drinks with diet soda if you like that. And dancing is GREAT!…

I have the exact same issue! It's nice to see I'm not alone in this. First week was a big loss, then it sort of plateaued out. I'm 9lbs down now, but my weight fluctuates a LOT. I chose to the last option - keep calm and carry on. I'm so new at this, best to keep at it for a while before making changes.
