I'm 5'8 and I try to net around 1400 per day. I don't get upset if I go up to 1600 cals per day.

I don't plan my spike days, but I have found that if I have a day where I go over my calorie goal and then get right back on track, I lose weight faster. It does seem like it boosts my metabolism. I haven't done any research, that is just my experience.

I try to eat between 1500 and 1600. If I exercise, I eat most of those back as well.

My first goal is 155 and I will see where I am from there. I'm not opposed to going lower, but I know I will need to do a lot of work in my problem areas. I am an apple, so I hold a lot of weight in my midsection. :(
