I got some work out clothes and an Amazon Kindle eReader. Sounds odd, but when on the treadmill or elliptical, reading helps the time go by faster and takes my mind away from staring at the clock. With the Kindle, I don't have to fuss with holding the book straight or lugging around a huge hard back. :)

I just changed mine to "I Love Rock N Roll" by Joan Jett! My kids love it and sing along.

I do take a multi vitamin, but not the normal store bought kind. My stomach can't handle the multi vitamins in the stores and the coating on them, so I take an all natual multi vitamin that my doctor gives to me. It is made from real things like wheat germ, carrot root, liver, etc. Standard Process makes it and its called…

I bought a pair of cute jeans that are about 2 sizes too small and they are hanging in my bedroom next to my mirror. I have to look at them everyday, so that is keeping me motivated. Hopefully soon, I will get to buy another pair once I get into these. Good luck!

I forgot to add that for drinks, I bought some water bottles and reuse them all the time. I fill them sometimes with Crystal Light flavored water and he thinks its like drinking koolaid or gatorade.

I pack my son things like yogurt with less sugar (sometimes gogurt so he doesn't need a spoon), goldfish crackers, carrots, grapes, small apples, etc. Sometimes I throw in a 100 cal pack of chocolate covered pretzels and he thinks that is such a treat! He will be in first grade and eats pretty much anything I give him, as…

I can't believe I am going to admit this, normally I listen to rock and metal, but I listened to the new Eminem CD (Recovery, I think) and it keeps me moving on the treadmil and eliptical. Normally hate rap, but I picked up a friends Ipod instead of mine and it was on there. Don't tell my rocker friends though!!!

I used the Jilliam Michael's 30 Day Shred and I love it!!! I really works you and I am sweating by the end. I can also get it done at home with my kids running around. You only need a set of handweights and a mat if you have a hard floor!! Good Luck!!

Be very careful with your knees. I had trouble about one month ago and my knee hurt, but never swelled. I kept pushing thru it b/c I thought it was from a lack of excercising. I eventually went to see a family friend/chrioprator and he did a mri. We found that my kneecap was out of place and I damanged my ACL. Had to have…

Probably can't measure using a food scale then since 8oz in a cup is volume. I hope there is an easier way! It shouldn't be this confusing, but maybe I've just hit my limit of thinking today! lol:laugh:

I'm in as well! I need to lose about 100+ lbs and have done 15 so far since joining MFP on June 1st!

Thanks for all the advice! I weigh daily, but only log in once a week on Mondays. It was weird that I work out and show no loss, but then if I take a few days rest, all of a sudden I show a loss. Was a little confusing, but I guess enough to keep me motivated!!!

Bump!!! I am going to use this for future motivation! You all look great!!!

I love Metallica! When I am working out, I need something loud and heavy. I usually listen to rock or metal!

Keep your head up! It's going to happen from time to time. I over did it last Sunday at breakfast and was so miserable the rest of the day, but it helped me remember why I am changing my lifestyle. Jump back on the wagon tomorrow! There is always another day!

Thanks so much for posting this! I had a rough couple days, although I did way better than I would have a month ago. I have been feeling pretty guilty all day today, but it's great that you had a few mishaps as well and are motivated to get right back up tomorrow. Your post has motivated me! Thanks again!

I just bought a polar f6 from sears.com. It was on sale and I only paid $58 for it plus shipping of like $6. I love it so far!

I have been told about the C25K program. I am going to be starting it this weekend. It's a 9 week program, 3 days a week and after the 9 weeks is up, you should be able to run a 5K (3 miles). It will help with stregnth and endurance. Some I know that have completed took longer, but eventually did it. I am hoping to run a…
