  • I love my fitbit and once I got my stride length in there correctly it really helped with distance tracking, if you haven't inputted a correct running stride length it's likely going to be wrong. I do use an HRM for workouts since the fitbit is for "steps" and much of what I do at the gym has no real steps for it to pickup…
  • In the week long picture one meal is likely not too big a deal. The gentleman that posted above me had the right idea, for instance our food at the U is provided by Aramark and they do have the data. Call the cafeteria and ask them what parent company is.
  • Best to take the first week to just look at what you are eating now, then start planning for changes, look at other diaries, read a bit, start planning some exercise time (a walk is absolutely a good start if you have been pretty sedentary). Don't try to "kill it" right off, seems to me most folks I've see really get…
  • I have to admit, I think we all want at least minimal reciprocation on our support. Not every day but once in a while. i have a lot of friends, maybe 10 of the 50 plus are regular 2 way support. Most are pretty passive but at least the ones remaining after my last cleanup actually log in, lol. I think for your own sanity…
  • Where do I begin with how it's different, probably should go to You tube, watch a few videos go to the GW2 website, investigate the races, and of course talk to some of the players but the videos will be a good starting point. I have played GW for 6 years, beta'd a bunch of other mmo's and GW2 is nothing like any of them,…

  • I don't eat out but I have several MFP pals that do and subway and Wendy's seem to be the favorite places to go. How low calorie? Below 1200? That would be really tough with takeout in your plan. Well and not good for you either :flowerforyou:

  • Been playing in pretty much every Beta and we are migrating our alliance as one big guild into 2 so we can stay together, lol. Already have a lot of ground done so our guild can look after the members properly, lol. Played Guild Wars for 6 years and so looking forward to the new game, We will get to play Sylvari and Asuran…

  • Summer and my motorcycle takes precedence. Guild Wars assisting guildies get the 30 points for the Hall of Monuments. And playing in the Beta for GW2 which has enough action for even the most sated action junkie, lol. Every freaking big event is a crazy free for all. Love the new game mechanic and the persistent world, a…
  • I had 60 lbs to lose, and almost there the old fashioned way, read up on the options and dived in. 8 months later I am almost at goal. It can be done and without starving or deprivation. I had carried that much weight around for 40 years so just cause you've been fat all your life doesn't mean you can't change.
  • I dont' eat much bread anymore (gluten free 13 years) but when I really feel the need I eat Udi's gluten free - closest thing to sandwich bread I've found, lightly toasted it makes great sandwiches. Properly browned it makes very satisfying toast.
  • Turkey burger, extra lean has 2g of fat to 6 oz.
  • I use turkey burger for a lot of wonderful things, shredded onion keeps it moist, chili pepper, Trader Joe's chili pepper sauce adds zest without salt, cumin, garlic, and lots of other spicy stuff. Shredded cheese again helps keep it moist and juicy.
  • Not much, octopus, squid, and snails are about it. Oh and parsnips, I'm allergic.
  • I admit I tend to use predone marinades like the powdered you add oil and water to, calories are negligible but lots of sodium, so no not counted for calories but sodium :)
  • December/May still going strong
  • Ok, going to venture out on a limb here, I suspect if you are eating at you BMR you are eating just enough to keep your system running but not much leftover for workouts and burning fat. I tried that whole BMR thing for awhile, stalled out at 40 pounds and increased my calories halfway between BMR and TDEE and it broke the…
  • Annie's lite raspberry vinagrette and her balsamic vinagrette are both awesome.
  • Potassium is usually the source of muscle cramps (scientific point of view). We do drink a lot of water and for some folks that means flushing that potassium out of your system, there a lots of potassium sources besides banana's which many of us give up due to the high carbs. Just google high potassium foods. If that…
  • My ratios are set to 40C/30F/30protein and it is closer to the workout levels recommended. Has worked very well for me too.
  • I suck at picture but my profile is open and there a before and during picture there. Starting weght: 238 - 11-2011 Current weight 185 - 7-10 Goal weight 175 Keep in mind an older gal here so no super low weight, I still weigh less now than I have since 1973 so yeah, good times.
  • No contract, $20 a month, only 10 to join that was to pay for my card.
  • No way are you too simple. Excellent plan and execution. I use a bit more of the details just because I have certain advice from a doctor to follow also and MFP make it so simple, no calculator required. But for weight loss only, you are spot on.
  • I use Annie's fat free raspberry vinagrette. Also trader joe's orange champagne vinegar with a bit of olive oil to cut the zing. I could go on, I love salads but couldn't give up dressing, try the "health food" section of your store for some better alternatives.
  • Oh my, your friend Ed has some real motivation and has truly transformed himself, I can only pray for him to get everything he deserves in the future. (I admit it I teared up over this story)
  • I have at least one treat a day, usually after I've satisfied my important macros and have a few calories left over, lol.
  • Well now, lying or omitting, admittedly a fine line. I always leave a couple of hundred calories at the end of the day for what i call "unconscious eating" you know, the tasting while cooking, stealing a chip or a fry, one extra gram on the scale, that way it doesn't come back to bite me but if I logged every bite I would…
  • I weigh them since the "count" is often off.
  • Terrific results you look awesome!
  • I'm going out on a limb here and I know the 4 cups a day people will say the Mayo Clinic is full of it but here goes, please note at the bottom, they DO NOT say that it is 8 cups of plain water, but 2.2 - 3 liters of fluid. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/water/NU00283/
