Maybe they're just wheely embarrassed.

you neet to 'net' 1200 or 1300 i.e. you eat those 600 back. you'll still lose because you'll still be in a deficit i.e. eating less than you burn.

GO TO DOCTOR sometimes it can be something to do with your hydration levels or food intake sometimes it can be more sinister. it's worth checking out. edit: also, soluble aspirin is usually recommended as a 'first step' for severe headaches or migraines so it might be worth trying some of that at the onset of the attack.

Eat less than you burn (including daily activity). MFP automatically has your goal at a deficit, don't worry.
-
Shame you decided to avoid phenylalanine since it's an essential amino acid... :ohwell: Don't be afraid of 'chemicals'. Everything you put in your body is a chemical. If it's allowed to be sold as food, it is safe.

+1 Sometimes people find, for whatever reason, that eating with a smaller deficit helps them lose more easily. But you WILL lose more slowly on this amount.

1) Green tea won't have any real effect on 'boosting your metabolism' 2) If your green tea is bitter, try making it with off-the-boil water (or add some cold water to the cup first). It shouldn't be bitter when you make it, but often people use freshly boiled water and scorch the tea leaves.

People who claim they could lose weight if they tried, they just [insert x lame excuse]. If you really wanted to, you'd get off your bottom and do something about it. So please, stop complaining about your weight.

Yep, eat at least a portion of them back. Definitely not a bad thing - it is how the site is designed. Your deficit is built into your calorie goal so you will still lose when meeting it (but not exceeding it, at least to as great an extent).
-
Can you make your own with something like Truvia or Spenda (even replace half the sugar)? Or just slowly add less and less until you get used to a slightly less sweet tea? That would easily take the calories down, by about 15kcals per teaspoon.

Damn. I'd do this, but I've got orange hair as is so tans are completely out for me. Forever pale! #gingerproblems

If you read the OP, she says she can't afford it. I'd say 10lbs.

If you still want to gain some muscle for a perkier bottom or whatever, I'd keep on bulking (strength training, adequate protein + caloric surplus) to put on some more mass. You'll gain a bit of fat whilst this happens but when you're happy with the amount of muscle, maybe a bit over actually, then you can start your cut…

This is always how I eat mine, with other steamed green veg too. Alternatively you can very gently steam/blanch them before sautéing - I then put them with sautéed chestnut mushrooms and a pesto-greek yoghurt sauce on tagliatelle (if I can afford it, this stuff:…

No, because if you restrict your calories, appetite often disappears. It's not a reliable indicator of the nutrition you need. For example, many anorexics can go for a long time without being hungry despite the damage they are doing to their bodies.
-
So you can eat more, duh.

I have a mirror like that right in front of my shower. It's rather demoralising every time I need to wash my hair.

Bump, this sounds interesting. I'd warn against protein powder/err on the side of caution. I've microwaved porridge with it in before and basically ended up with revolting clumpy stuff - I think the heat denatures the protein and makes it coagulate. If you make a shake first and mix it in it could be alright, or even do so…

Recovery is mental as much as it is physical. When you're weight-restored and you don't practice negative food behaviours like starving, bingeing, purging...that's recovery. And critically, establishing a much more positive relationship with food!

fantastic but pricey. go for it if you can afford to.

Agree with tracking measurements but building muscle in a deficit? I doubt it.

Get onto an online calculator e.g Scooby, enter your stats and find out how much YOU need. It will vary according to your weight, height and activity. And are you eating your exercise calories back? Unless you use the TDEE method (seen on Scooby), you should eat at least a portion of them back as it's how MFP works.

I've heard that rice and beans provides a complete source of vegan protein (when combined). So maybe that would be a solid base for your meals? Then you'll need nuts for fats and I suppose fruit/veg for fibre. Sorry I can't offer much more help but hopefully some experienced vegans can give you some suggestions. Think…

Haha, very true. But it's still a good read. For instance, he demonstrated how easy it is to be seen as a Dr (*cough* Gillian McKeith) by successfully procuring the title for his dead cat...

100% for due to...all scientific evidence available at this juncture. Don't even get me started on herd immunity or the Andrew Wakefield business... :explode: I even pestered a friend of mine into getting vaccinations when it was revealed that she and her misinformed mother believed homeopathy would cure all her ills...…

In terms of actual science this is also nonsense. You're not going to have issues drinking milk unless it's your sole food forever, where you'd be deprived of other nutrients. The amount of hormone is so low you'd have to drink a stupid amount to get any decent level into your system. In fact, milk is a decent source of…

If you're not personally having problems with the artificial sweeteners, they've never conclusively been shown to have ill effects so I'd just stick with those if it keeps you hydrated. Edit: or herbal teas, green teas (stuff lower in caffeine, as caffeine is a mild dieuretic so you don't want to take lots of it in when…

I'm increasing my calories to maintenance, began last week, and to begin with I felt tired and gross. So maybe it's just a side effect of your body adapting. :)

where are you? In some places you can self-refer to psych services if that is what you need. Or you can request a referral from your GP and they may send you to someone who specialises in eating disorders who will be able to tackle your problems more readily. Things that help me with binges (am in recovery for bulimia):…
