  • Well done!!! "'Man" push ups are my test of strength as well. Excellent work!!
  • I do this to. I lose weight and then "relax" up on the food and eat what I would not normally. It only happens when I get on the scale and see a loss so I now only weigh myself once a month. We are all only human so keep going and stay positive.
  • Hi, I`m 43 and joined MFP 2 months ago. I gained 9 kilos after quitting smoking last year so slowly working it all back off. MFP has taught me alot about food and being accountable for what you eat. As long as your goals are realistic and you put in the effort you will lose the weight. Don`t beat yourself up if you fall of…
  • I think as long as the sugar content comes from natural food as appossed to processed food it will be fine. I`m always over in sugar but mostly comes from fruit and other natural foods. I have changed my light milk to soy light milk due to a lower sugar content so it`s all a learning curve to what is best for our bodies.…
  • Congrats on getting back into focusing on yourself. I hope I will never know your heartache. I do appreciate what an effort you are making. Don`t place any expectations on yourself regarding times. Just put yourself out there and continue doing the best you can. Life always takes us where we need to be, sometimes we don`t…

  • Yo should be very proud of yourself!!! Well done:smile:
  • I use Treadmills for Interval training due to be able to program different speeds and inclines to provide HIIT and leave the much loved consistent pace running for the beautiful outdoors. I have an 8.5 Km track (approx 5.3 miles ) which I can get around on a good day in about 50 minutes. I don`t overly push myself as I…
  • This happens to me as well so would like to know as well. It seems the only place I sweat is from my head!!!
  • I would increase activity level as well. From what you have wrote 1200 calories is not enough for the activities you are doing. Increase calories for 1 week and see what happens.
  • I am the absolute reverse of this. I have a few drinks on a saturday night and it can wipe out all the good work I have done during the week. Lucky for me I only have every second weekend off work so to enjoy a drop or two or I would be getting nowhere!!! :drinker:
  • I have been running for a few years now, both open road and treadmill. I have a 8.5 kilometre road track that I do in around 50 minutes. I run this at a pace thats comfortable as the added elements of different inclinations as well as wind factors encourages your body to work harder naturally.I burn around 500 claories…
  • I break up my runs on the treadmill with intervals of walk at 6kmh for 1 minute at 3% Incline then run at 12kmh at 1% incline for a total of 10 minutes then walk at 6kmh at 3% incline then jog at 9kmh at 5% incline for another 10 minutes then cool down with a 5 minute job at 1% for 5 minutes. I burn around 300 calories…
  • I have been running for a few years now...both treadmill and open road. What I love most, beside the exercise, is the ability for the mind to tune out of all the days stresses and almost become kind of a therapy session. So good for the body and mind. Interval running is great for fat burning. But either way if you don`t…
