Here's what I did to keep it simple. Ignore all of MPF fitness settings and use the custom settings to set how many calories you want to eat. (click on Goals - Change Goals - Custom - Continue - change calories & macros here - click on Change Goals at the bottom to save) This is what my home screen looks like w/out…

I've heard and agree with this too. We are a society that wants things 10 minutes ago and and sadly people will do what ever they need to to give people that result.

It's absolutely normal to put on a little weight at the beginning while your body gets used to the extra calories. Once it's trusts that you are not going to starve it again and will consistently feed it the same amount it will start letting go of the "extra weight".

Keep up the good work!

Correct. If you have to eat to get back to your BMR constantly, you should bump yourself up to the next activity level. The goal is to have consistent eating so your body will learn to trust that you are going to feed it and thus is will burn off the extra fat it doesn't need.

Wow!! I hope I can look even half as good as you. Amazing transformation!

After I read your post I thought exactly the same thing about your activity level. Because if you're only "moderate" then I'm definitely not doing enough. Maybe you need to bump up to the next level and see what happens? You seem crazy active to me. (Which is a good thing!!)

Caveman style. I love it!! Comparatively, I'm only eating about 2100 calories a day. But there are some days I feel the same way. That I'm constantly going back to the kitchen to eat more because A) I'm hungry again or B) It's been 2 hours so it's time to eat again. Keep up the good work!!

I'm sure it's not the right thing to do, but for right now I'm just worried about keeping my protein up. I started with getting it over 100 and now am trying to get it over 120 every day. According to MFP it should be a lot higher but I'm trying to take the whole process in smaller steps and celebrating the wins when I…

Last week I was in that "omg I need to do every project I've ever thought about right now!!!" mode... This week, I feel like I've been ran over by a truck and then it did it again to make sure. I'm not sure how long it will last but I'm doing my best to stay positive and to just keep pushing forward. I'm about 8…

Way to go!!!

I'd vote at least moderate too.

Oops!! I think I was eating too much too! :blushing: With how hectic my life has gotten, I don't really fit in the 1-3 hours or 3-5 hours of exercise category. So I'm going to take the average of the two and try it for a month. Hopefully it'll get me back on track.

I'm about 5 weeks into eating more and thought I had finally turned the corner. But over the last week I've gained a couple pounds and I can feel myself hitting that mental wall of just wanting to give up. I haven't been able to exercise at all and I've been going non-stop with life lately. It's gotten really hectic and…

Don't feel bad. I just found out about the whole calcium and fiber thing about few months ago. And I've been on thyroid for ... 15+ years. Thyroid issues run in my family and my mother was like "Didn't you know that?? Didn't I tell you??". Um... NO!! :grumble: But for the past couple months I've been just taking it before…

I just recently upped my calories another 150 and just went through the "OMG... I need to do everything right now!!!" energy burst and ravenous appetite where I have no clue how I can survive on 2000-2100 calories a day. This morning I am dragging so hard I can't even concentrate. But thankfully the continuous hunger pains…

I'm also on thyroid meds and have recently started taking them before I go to bed instead of in the morning. All of the restrictions of no calcium or high fiber foods within 4 hours wasn't working for me. So now about an hour after I get up and am at work I eat my monster sized breakfast and take my vitamins for the day.…
