  • Completely normal! I often get sore abs after my soccer games in the summer. I'm pretty sure it's happened from regular running as well. Nothing to worry about! Just means you were doing a good job of having your abs engaged as you ran haha
  • Calories DO changed depending on how meat is cooked. That's why all meat products give calories based on RAW instead of cooked, because there's no way the manufacturers can know how someone will end up cooking it. If 440 cals was based on raw, then it is safe to assume it was actually less calories when you ate it. I don't…
  • If you want t continue losing at a steady and HEALTHY rate, you really should eat your exercise calories. Your calorie goal is already quite low for a man of your size. I'm a 5'2, 148lb female and my calorie goal is only about 100 less than yours....I eat ALL of my calories PLUS exercise calories, and I'm still losing. You…
  • That happens to me as well...not every time though. When I finally do eat I find the pain gets even worse. Thank god it doesn't happen to me everytime I go too long without eating, because I do that more often than I should haha.
  • No word of a lie, while subbing Phys. Ed today I played Freeze Dance with a grade 1 class and a little boy came up and asked, "Do you have any Beastie Boys on that playlist?" He was soo disappointed when I said no (the ipod belonged to their teacher, if it was mine, he would not have been let down!) I didn't even know at…
  • This. Search for recipes using instant oatmeal packets. There's a few actually. I made a cake sort of thing using them, with bananas and cinnamon. I can't remember the recipe for the life of me, but I found it by searching on google.
  • I always had super long hair...got it cut really short once when I was 13 and absolutely HATED it. A few years ago I decided to shave my head for Head For The Cure, to raise money for cancer research and donate my hair. That explains the bald picture...the other 2 are at different stages of it growing out. There were…
  • I met Ricky from the Trailor Park Boys on the street outside of a bar on my 21st birthday and got a picture with him. Got Sidney Crosby's autograph when he played in the QMJHL (he was obviously going to become a phenom in the NHL, so we jumped on the chance when we got it haha). Stood a few ppl over from Joel Plaskett at a…
  • Did this a few years ago when I was playing with photoshop. The only thing I played with was contrast/lighting.

  • 18 and in grade 12. I was 5'2, 125 lbs. Ate whatever I wanted because I was on at LEAST 2 teams at any given time during the year. Now 26 and sitting at 151 lbs with a goal of 135. I don't have any current full body photos, but my profile pic is an updated face shot.
  • How could going over your calorie goal by a little possibly make you gain weight? The goals that MFP gives you has a deficit already built in, depending on how much you chose to lose a week when signing up. 1 lb loss per week would be a 500 calorie deficit per day. Going over by 10 calories would still give you a 480…
  • "Technically under"? You are under. You ate 1200 and burned off say 300. Your body only got 900 calories that day. They don't suggest to eat your exercise cals as a guideline...it's because that's what your body needs in order to maintain a healthy deficit. ps- Sorry if that came off as rude, I meant it to be helpful! To…
  • For the record, eating at your BMR will not cause you to gain weight or stay the same weight...you will lose weight while eating at that level. BMR is the amount of calories you burn if you were in a coma..so the basic amount that your body needs to keep you alive. You are not in a coma, I assume, haha..so you actually…
  • Couldn't be further from the truth haha. I played soccer, basketball, fastball and ball hockey. I was technically a "jock", but moreso hung out with the "nerds" or just the average non-labelled people haha.
  • Boo I got skipped :( Roadie- Track
  • let's put it this way...if you eat 2000 calories and burn 2000 calories in a day, your body will have ZERO fuel, because the exercise negated what you ate. SO if you're eating 2000 calories and burn 4000, you're body is getting NEGATIVE 2000 calories for fuel. Imagine it's a car instead of a body...could it run on -$40 of…

  • We are music twins!! I started with piano when I was 4, played trumpet in band for a few years, and am now teaching myself guitar and ukelele...and I've ALWAYS wanted to play drums. My main "instrument" nowadays though is my voice. I mostly just try to learn guitar etc, so I have something to play the songs I write on haha.
  • I'm 5'2, started here at 172. At that time I was a size 12. I carried my weight very proportionately...just grew wider and rounder everywhere when I gained haha.
  • Just to point out..when she answered your question, she was assuming your math was correct and that 1970 was, in fact, 20% less than your TDEE...which is incorrect. 20% less than your TDEE on sedentary days is 1640. You could safely eat 1640 on non workout days and 1960 on workout days without having too large of a…
  • A previous poster already answered your question. She wasn't questioning your numbers, she was questioning the math you used to figure out your calories on non-workout days (which you said was 1970). Using the numbers your body bugg gave you..your sedentary TDEE is 2050. It's suggested that you eat 20% below your TDEE,…

  • I think this. You've lowered your BMR from eating too little. Your body got used to living off "x" amount of calories, so now that's all it requires. If you start eating more that will correct itself over time and you'll likely end up closer to where the calculators put you.
  • As someone already said, the only thing a sauna suit does for you is make you sweat more. The weight you are losing is simply water, and it will dehydrate you. Most often the only people you see using them are athletes like wrestlers or boxers that need to get below a certain weight for a fight. They use the sauna suit,…
