Hi Tausha and everyone! I need something that will help me stay on track. I want to join the 6-9 group.

You both look fantastic!! My hubby and I lost a total of 110 pounds together. Then, I got pregnant and we both gained (me 47 and him 10) I had my angel and am ready to lose these leftover 28 pounds and he's ready to lose his ten again. I can't imagine doing this without his support. Glad to see another couple supporting…

Almost 50 pounds in 8 months. I didn't/don't do a lot of formal exercise. I am active with my toddler most days and others lazy with her. It just depends. I mostly only exercise if I plan on going over on calories. I stay under calories (started at 1800 went to1540) most days. I try to stay under 100-200 on weekdays that…

I weighed in at 191.2. I can't remember my starting weight, but I think I lost a pound and a half-lol! I was all proud of that until I saw some of your numbers fellow snowflakes-wow!! Way to kick butt!
-
I like it! This is only my second day doing it and it was after I ran on the elliptical, but I was sweating! Fun too!

Agree that counting calories has more to do with weight loss. I lost 46 pounds without ever going to a gym. Definitely not suggesting that you shouldn't go to the gym. I wish I could. But, I do live a somewhat active lifestyle however having a 2 year old and just try to move more when I can, but REALLY try to stay under…

One of the best success stories I've read!! So happy for you! Great job!!

Yes! My hubby and I are 2 pounds away from a hundred total loss together. When we hit 100, I am posting before and afters! I don't think I could have had any success if we weren't in this together!

Weigh in at 192.6 and as soon as I kick this virus out of here, I am going to exercise by doing Just Dance on the WII hopefully at least 5 days. Just got the WII for Christmas and hope I get some good cardio out of it!

I definitely think if you are hungry then drop to 1/2 pound. You are so close to your goal, you'll get there eventually anyways! Might as well do it feeling satisfied. Congrats!
-
leandread- What about aiming for 1800 and just add some exercise. I always had my goals set at a pound per week and with exercise lost more than that. If you're just starting out, I don't suggest starting so low in calories. It is discouraing and I personally don't think I could have made such a big jump. I started out at…

I am 5'8 and shooting for 160. A little over halfway there!

I can only speak for how I think it affected me, I think one or two if it fits would be fine. I have done that and still lost. My husband also has one 300 calorie beer most evenings and had a steady weight loss (at his goal now). But if I eat within my calories or go over like normal but add alcohol, I didn't lose. Seems…

Thanks everybody! Who knew that alcohol could have such an effect on weight loss? I am learning so much since I found this site!

So ready! I did a lose 50 by Christmas challenge and lost 44. I totally am proud of myself for that and hoping for another 40 when it's time to pick out a swim suit! Plus my brother in law is getting married at the end of May. AND, it will be a year on MFP anniversary for me! I need to be kept accountable all! Keep me…

I'm here, I'm here!

Well, I am up a pound and a half  But it's to be expected since I haven't been trying too hard and the holiday parties are killing me! So, I obviously did not make 50 by Christmas, but 43??? That is way more than I have ever believed that I really could lose! I remember responding to this thread thinking that there…

Me too!!! Need something to get me back on track and motivated. Haven't made a whole lot of progress lately!
-
Ahhh, you certainly do have a big incentive! You are doing wonderful and a great inspiration! Congrats and good luck with your surgery! You will do great now that you are so healthy!!
-
Been there done that several times with this journey. One or two days or even taking a week off won't kill you. I have gone up a pound or two from eating poorly at times, but it's life. It always has come back off. It's a lifestyle change. You won't be perfect. Just when things slow down, you can get back to normal. Good…

OOH yea, listen to him! Then. if he is still being shady, let him go! Good advice! Do you mind consulting with a few of my friends ;)
-
My personal opinion is that you are only a month into this relationship and already drama??? I deal with this kind of stuff with my friends all the time. Doesn't ever end well. BUT, if you really like him, go for it. But, my advice--Guys don't understand the games. Just tell him, YES! I want to see you. They don't get the…

Down 44.4 pounds! It's been a little slow for me! Too much celebrating birthdays, holidays, football games, but I am ecstatic with this loss. Tiara you have such a steady loss, can you share secrets? Do you ever go over or have cheat days?
-
Thanks guys, for all your kind words. It made his day to see that he helped motivate some of you!
-
Thanks everyone! He is the only reason why I am able to do this. I wanted to cheat and give up so many times and even tried to get him to cheat with me :blushing: and he just is strong and said no. So because he didn't, I felt bad so I wouldn't either. We have so much more energy than before and are much better parents to…

Ugh, the picture sizes are all messed up but at least you can get an idea!
-
Shoot, what did I do wrong? I'll work on this!

Down a total of 43.2 pounds! 6.8 to go! It's going to be a close one. Hopefully I don't screw up too bad over Thanksgiving weekend!
