Yeah. But she'd have to be good with weapons. After all, I may not need to outrun the zombies ...

Sorry, but I could probably bench you. ;)

Yes ... But only if she's okay with building a bamboo palace, with hot and cold running water.

I would think so. I would outweigh her. But why fight???

Nice.

Well ... I made it. It's not bad, and it is saving me money, but I thought it would have more heat. I should add a bit more salt and maybe use something hotter than Sriracha (though I do like the aftertaste) ... Hmm ... maybe I should add some read pepper flakes.

If you have a smoker, this one looks interesting: http://www.yummly.com/recipe/external/Sriracha-Beef-Jerky-1281939

I don't think it's zero fat, but its pretty much zero carbs, unless you make it teriyaki style or something.

I think that its a great idea. Probably much better and far cheaper than the commercial stuff as well. I've been wanting to make some for a while, but haven't. Maybe this weekend. If I do, I'll let you know my results.

There was a slight increase at our gym, with "newbies" in their brand-new workout gear. My wife and I made sure to wear our older stuff. ;) Oh well, most of them will still keep paying dues and not show up, which makes it more reasonable for those of us who do.

I was good last night. Didn't get home till 920 helped (gym and picking up daughter from drama practice). Stepped on the scale this morning, down 4.2 pounds. [It also was a real hard workout last night.] I expect some variability there, so not counting all those pounds gone mentally.

Thanks for asking. I did drink some over the weekend, but am dry now on Monday. I'm playing with the idea of fours days off and three days optional. Then again, I had an early meeting this morning and felt sooo much more sluggish than I did last week. I'm finding that life can be better sober. I am also going to the gym…

I did have several glasses of wine last night, though nothing excessive. I talked with my therapist and we discussed making smaller lasting changes, rather than absolutes which then fail. That makes some sense, but I have to admit that I wish I hadn't had any last night. I feel a bit sluggish and thick-headed today. Even…

Made it through Day 3. One major trigger and one medium one. Even had to cut my workout time to deal with one. But stayed strong, even though my wife has a wine bottle in the house. Only bummer is that I didn't lose any more weight. Oh well, yesterday was a heavy lift day and no time for cardio, so not a total surprise.

Well, made it through my second day. Granted losing 4 lbs the first day and 2.5 the second helped. Granted I have had almost no carbs, though still ate well and worked out hard both days. Don't expect the weight loss to keep coming like this, but I have to admit, it's a great starting motivator.

It's Jan. 5, but I had already decided to stop on Jan. 4, so I'd like to be included. My wife and I usually drink several glasses of wine at night. We are both (along with our kids) fairly decent cooks, but its easier to make a tasty healthy meal than it is to avoid the ill effects of alcohol. My weight has increased over…

The beating of my heart. Not a song .. just the beating of my heart. ... Oh and my dog breathing.

Nope. Have you ever skied the Face of the Mountain?

Yeah ... Low carb diet (losing 8 pounds in 4 days) is great. Wine in a low carb stomach ... Well ... hits a bit harder. Going to bed soon.

Fermat's Last Theorem. He supposedly solved it in a very elegant fashion. It remained unsolved for centuries. It was finally solved recently with computer assistance, but at a length of 295 pages. The joke is trying to solve it on a single piece of paper, as supposedly Fermat did.

Nope, nor with a goat. Simply at a family friends ranch in Northern California. Amazing hair.
