I have super flat feet caused by fallen arches, I didn't always have them. Which caused much of my tendonitis except for my achilles which is some kind of weird genetic defect that I have shortened achilles tendons so I have to stretch them a lot. I was discharged because my pain had gone away but I will call her and see…

This, I got a food scale and was flabbergasted by my bad "eyeballing" portion size skills. I had no idea what a proper portion was. Now, I measure every single thing I make at home. Food scale, measuring cups, tablespoon and teaspoons galore. As an example, even a Wendy's grilled chicken sandwich that chicken breast is at…

This is going to be unpopular advice but if you really want to lose lbs...I might stop exercising besides light exercise like walking or biking and just really tighten your diet. I've had more success on the scale not exercising than I do when I exercise intensely specifically weight and resistance training. Yes I know its…

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Its nice knowing I'm not crazy and other people have been here too along the weight loss journey. Ill try to put my focus on fitness goals rather than just losing lbs. I've just been plagued with some serious foot injuries the last few months and havent been able to until now.

Definitely do the C25K plan, it will help prevent injury. Make sure you get some really good shoes as well and try not to run on concrete if you can. Jeff Galloway has good beginner training plans and running tips as well. http://www.jeffgalloway.com/

I ate large quantities of some of the food I eat now but I also ate a lot of junk and fast food. I ate general tso's chicken with white rice, an entire order dinner size, egg rolls, and egg drop soup. I would go to McDonalds and get large orders of big mac and fries with diet soda of course...because that mattered and I…

Fair enough, recently I've been off the wagon and still tracking naughty foods for honesty sake. When Im eating crap though I dont complain and wonder why Im not losing weight. I know exactly why and its because I eat things like easter eggs, pasta, and pizza. When I am doing the things I gave advice to this girl for, I…

I looked at your diary and Im confused why you're frustrated. You ate 100 grams of sugar one day. Your diet is almost entirely processed food and you've been very inconsistent with your tracking. I really feel for the person who is eating clean, eating enough, and exercising their butt off for a month without any losses…

It just depends on the person. More important than anything else is inflammation on a diet. I think if you gain water weight with certain foods, dont eat them. That usually means they dont work well for you. I gain water weight with dairy and wheat like crazy, but not rice or oats. I learned this through trying the paleo…

This! The few naturally thin friends I have seem to get full way faster than I do. I remember seeing one of them look at a Chipotle burrito bowl and being like oh my god this is so much food! Whereas I can stomach a burrito bowl and a whole bag of chips, easy and not be stuffed. I figure after reading all these responses…

I didn't mean to offend anyone. I meant to say I assume not many naturally thin are on here because their proper habits keep them from having to do all the counting of calories but it seems I was wrong. My bad! Thanks for all the responses. This has been eye opening and very helpful!

It depends what you're eating normally. If you're cutting carbs and then have a small indulgence you will gain weight because carbs make you hold water weight especially when youre cutting them on certain days.

Big time. I do not keep any cheesey crackers at home because I will cop a bad attitude and say diet starts tomorrow and eat all of them. Cheetos, cheesey poofs, goldfish I can't handle it. I feel better not having any than a handful. Have a hard time with pizza also. I know a lot of people say "moderation is key" but I…

Counting calories and macronutrients on myfitnesspal works for me. If I actually am really strict about measuring and don't sneak bites, its especially effective. If you're carb sensitive, eat under 100 grams a day and eat real lovely whole foods and just count calories on here. Go for a macronutrient ratio of 30% carbs…

I totally feel your pain, we have free food at work constantly plus candy everywhere. There isn't really a good resolution except to keep yourself away from it and then eat the snacks you've brought from home. Bargain with yourself that if you stay away from the free food now you'll get a healthy treat or a bubble bath…

Fantastic responses. Thank you all! It's really nice to know I'm not alone and this process is so hard. I figured it may have to be one of those things where you just make a choice between being chubby and cuddling with your food or being fit and healthy and facing the world head on and not using food to control your…

Woah woah, we all have these days or two. No need to beat yourself up. Exercise today like normal and eat clean for the rest of the day and track anyway and start fresh again tomorrow. I'd suggest only indulging in sweets you really enjoy or when you can have a controlled portion of them. I have a hard time controlling…

With eating the same things every night or similar, I imagine you're having intense cravings. Id get checked for vitamin deficiency, thats a big sign of them or just not eating enough in general.

"Oh come on, one cookie wont hurt and I made these just for you" Food pushers are the worst

Uncontrollable bingeing is normally psychological. Food fills some sort of emotional need that feels necessary. I've been in therapy for 5 years for my binge eating and I've learned that my obsession with food is connected with my emotional needs. If you can afford it, I would see a therapist to talk about what is causing…

You need to think of this as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. Theres no need to restart a lifestyle next Monday. Just eat whole foods and exercise for at least 30 minutes daily. It can be anything walking, running, cycling, swimming, strength training, list goes on. Just move at a moderate or high intensity pace 30…

Obviously its not safe to severely cut calories. However, if you want to lose weight quickly and by weight I mean bloat and fat because you cannot lose fat that quickly but you can lose bloat quickly. I have gotten great success by cutting carbs and sugar. Eat similar to the Paleo diet for a couple of weeks and youll…

It is absolutely boredom. I'm so happy to have a job in this day and age but mine isn't the most challenging or even busy right now. I am not swamped or overwhelmed, of course I have things to do but there isn't much challenge to it. So sometimes as Im staring at yet another spreadsheet I just want some fritos or candy to…

Definitely follow the C25K plan, that's very doable. Running 3.2 miles seems daunting but you are capable of more than you think you are. I've done 5K's on thanksgiving after not running for months and run the whole thing. Take it slow and do the run/walk thing if you need during the race, you'll do great!

Husband gets his at Van Huesen outlets also or Polo outlets.

Like everyone else said, its water. Your muscles pull it into them for healing after the micro tears after workouts. Also make sure you're eating your exercise calories.
-
You are never putting on muscle within weeks of losing weight. That's a myth. People like to pretend weight loss is basic math but its not. Just be patient. I lose anywhere from 2.5 lbs to .5 lbs a week. It adds up over time, just keep with it and understand exercise is for health but your diet is what really works wonders…

I totally get where you're coming from. I got frustrated with this all the time. What ultimately helped me stop was recognizing that whenever you eat when youre not hungry, its essentially emotional eating. Whether that be stress, nervous energy, sadness, boredom, anger, etc. There is just nothing more mind numbing and…

Dont exercise, drink a lot of water, and cut your carbs for a day or two. You'll lose the water weight.

I lost 10 lbs in a month not exercising at all on WW. If youre eating really low calorie, exercise can backfire. I used to eat my exercise calories back on MFP and didnt lose a whole lot of weight. Its not exactly as simple as calories in, calories out. You cant really "burn off" food like you can not overeat. However, i…
