My husband and I went vegan halfway through (he's lost 70lbs). I sooo wish I had done it sooner! could never go back now, I love this lifestyle and animals far too much!

I didn't start lifting until I had lost about 40lbs, but it was only because I didn't know the benefits and wasn't part of any gym. I recommend lifting because the more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn at rest, plus it just feels good to be strong and makes everything easier.

just to update everyone: I've lost more fat and gained some more muscle! I'm finally starting to see a little muscle definition! remember, it's not always about the number on the scale

when I hit a plateau I honestly got discouraged and I would sometimes eat whatever for a few weeks, for some reason this worked for me, I would gain a little weight and get right back into the swing of things and lose it very quickly, almost like my metabolism was revamped or something, but the important thing was to get…

protein shakes, vitamins (multi, b complex, bcaa's, biotin, chia seeds, calcium/magnesium/zinc) otherwise nothing, strictly diet and exercise, never had any sort of surgery, never did fad diets or any weight loss products.

muscle weighs more than fat, if you're building muscle it's common to gain weight, and completely worth it because the more muscle you have the more calories you burn at rest. don't worry it's a good thing just keep at it and make sure to eat clean and you'll have no problem losing fat. remember it's not about the number…

yup I hit a few plateaus, even got off track a couple times for a month or so at a time, the important thing is to keep going, remind yourself why you're doing it and believe in yourself.

macros are set at 60% carb, 25% protein, 15% fat I'm vegan so a lot of what I eat is raw or steamed veggies :] I do strength training 3x a week currently (stronglifts 5x5 program) and I do about an hour of cardio on my off days. husband is deployed right now so I've been upping my game the last few months to lose a bunch…
