  • 100% coconut juice / water (NOT milk). I live off it! It has the same effect as gatorade (without the calories) in keeping me hydrated and has tons of potassium.

  • An apple usually satisfies me. However, I can eat banana after banana and still be hungry. My solution is to eat my banana followed by a few almonds or in almond milk and some granola. The almond milk and granola will add more calories, though.
  • I adore kale, collards and brussel sprouts. Recently I've been making kale chips. You put them on a baking sheet and drizzle a little olive oil and salt, bake at 350 and turn every 10 minutes until crispy. Yummy !
  • I am a vegetarian and spirulina fan. I have also read that you should make sure that it is certified organic and not harvested from polluted water. Supplements are unregulated, so you're better off trying to find true organic forms.
  • Moosewood's Homespun Veggie Pot Pie is always a big hit. You can make it vegan by going without the biscuit.
