  • You've come to the right place! It's calorie counting that really helps. You will be amazed at the stuff you have been eating. I tried on my own for the past few years to lose weight, but am finally doing it with this website. Hope it works for you, too! - ABH
  • We must be about the same size/shape. I have lost 11 lbs. but still wearing a 12. I think the size has a 20-pound range in either direction! Can't wait to get down to a 10.
  • Good for you! He was probably hungry in an hour, but you probably lasted a while on your healthy breakfast!
  • That's awesome! Keep up the good work! I made it to ten recently, so 15 is my next mini-goal. You have inspired me to get there.
  • Hi, I've been to Germany many times and it's great! You will love it! Try not to eat too many sweets, as they are amazing! Maybe split them with someone else! Anyway, I'm probably not the best one to ask about the clothes since I could probably be your mother. However, I would suggest bringing/wearing what you normally do…
  • Have you seen Dr. Weil's website? There are many nutritious recipes posted, and you can have nutritional newsletters e-mailed to you daily.
  • Okay, I'll do it! I have the same tape measure in this house that my Mom used to use when I was a kid. It's nostalgic for me, and maybe Mom's spirit will bring me luck. She was always so diligent about keeping her weight down. Now I know how hard it must have been for her.
  • It's that darned white bread! Cut it in half or eat a sandwich open-faced, and maybe have some fruit on the side to fill you up the rest of the way. Most of us eat fatty chips to further compound the whole bread problem. I'm totally guilty as I love chips! Gotta change my bad ways. Oh yeah, and love the 3rd thing a…
  • :glasses: :ohwell:  I love zucchini! Try sauteeing in olive oil, seasoning salt (or salt & pepper) and some fresh herbs. Yum! Also try rubbing some sticks in olive oil/seasoning and roasting on the outdoor grill. We did this the other night and even the kids were clammoring for more. My personal favorite, but I…
  • Maybe a piece of fruit and another glass of water? What I've been doing with the extra cals is having some fruit with 1/2 serving of yogurt - and I really enjoy it! Healthy and not many calories. You should probably try to get 3 small meals in - just to make sure your sugar balance doesn't get out of whack. I'm not a doc,…
  • Squeeeeeezzzzeee!
  • This is more or less the way we make it, too It's really excellent and hardly any calories! If you need to make it a little richer/less watery, sometimes we add hot sauce (Tampico or similar).
  • My advice would be to take an ordinary recipe and try to tighten up every single ingredient. If it calls for beef, try chicken breast. If it calls for sour cream, try plain yogurt. If it calls for cheese, try reduced fat or cut the amount of cheese in half. These things will help - and will prepare you for Long-Term weight…
  • Hi I'm not a Doc, but I love to play one! Yes and No would be my answer, were I a Doc. Yes, it matters in that you should try to eat a balanced diet of mostlly fruits, veggies and grains and some protein. No, in that your weight is a matter of supply and demand, or calories consumed vs. calories burned. Does this make…
  • It's a good reminder to say something nice to 3 strangers every day. Can YOU do it?
  • Do you like shrimp? Costco has a great marinated shrimp salad. I had 1 cup of that tonight along with ceasar salad (light on the dressing). 250 calories, so you have room to add bread or a few crackers.
  • I'm new to this, but I would try the 1200 /day again. I'm doing that and the calorie count is really revealing. My portions and food choices were poor on the first day, so I fixed it on the 2nd day. Maybe try some 5-10 pound weights for your arms and lunges? Go for walks or do something that you enjoy, maybe swim if you…
  • Hi - I'm new here also - just 2 days so far. However, I've learned a lot about the foods I have been eating routinely and how bad they are for me. Good luck with your weight loss! - Alexa
