My mother died 11 years ago. And my husband family is just... well, snobby, but my husband is not, so imagine that. Plus my daughter will not be here, she lives in GA with her husband, I wish they could come, or I could go there. I told my husband I was gonna go to my cousins house and he could stay here with his family.…

Oh! and one more thing, I do not WANT to be a size 8. I would be wayyy too thin, lose what makes me, me. And being a size 12/14 is actually considered "average" and that is where I want to be. I'm sure I COULD do it, but I don't WANT to do it. It's also not my age. I just turned 42 on Thursday. I know women who are older…

Yea, there are different weights for different people. And what weight I am for a size 12 may not be the weight you need to be for a size 12. Thank you for all the encouragement everyone! I love you guys;) woohoo! It makes me feel normal:) thanks!

Thank you all. I am glad I am not the only one who wants to get down to where I am not comfortable because society says so:) I just turned 42. I think a size 10/12 or 12/14 is most appropriate. I will still have curves, its age appropriate, and MOST OF ALL... its a healthy weight range for me:) I am NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING!…

exactly! when i am a 12ish that is my healthy weight range. I dont want to be below that. Ronney

nope, i don't WANT to. I don't need to be smaller than that. That is where I was when I got married, and I look at my wedding photos and dang I looked good. I was curvy in all the right places, and I was HOT... So, uhm, yea... 10/12 is perfect. Maybe even a 12/14, will know when i get to that bridge. Ronney

I am a scrapbooker and I have a sticker that reads: "if you mess with my scrapbooking supplies you are in for an asswhoopin you will never forget" and yes, that is true. but I love the commercials that say "don't try this at home" and its some driver driving really crazy and it says professional driver on closed course…

Thanks daddio, you always seem to know the right thing to say. I am still not "suffering from" but I am *****ing about! hahha I plan on hiking tomorrow, alone, but its a mild one, and I definitely wont take the dogs (jack russell and beagle) and go slow. Papago Park is where I will go and its very easy. I'm thankful!…

Thank you for sharing this. I am currently an 18/20... no longer creeping into a 22. My goal size is a 12. it looks magnificent! I cannot wait:) Thank you for the inspiration and the reason to keep going on the journey. Ronney

eating healthier for me is way easier than exercise for me, although now I'm doing both:) I feel better when I exercise. So that is motivation. Ronney

My name is Ronney and I'm 5'7" and I currently weigh 232 My highest weight ever was like 247. I've lost 14 lbs now and I keep on keepin on. MFP is a huge support and you have come to right place! My goal is 199.9 right now. How does it feel knowing your weight is someone elses goal weight? This is a great place for support…

OMG! THIS sounds like me! My son ran off and married this b**** who lied and said she was pregnant, surprise surprise She wasn't and they broke up 6 weeks later... THANK GOD, that woman was horrific. My daughter married a guy in VA who I never got to meet. My ONLY daughter. And now she lives in GA and doesn't want kids…

I was going to suggest this. We make extra meat just for the left overs for lunch or dinner the next night or the following night (in different ways of course, ie tacos, burritos). Also boil a chicken (a whole fryer is usually fairly cheap) and add carrots, celery and onion and that makes your chicken broth, which CAN be…

Thanks:) Yea I don't really have the patience for that:/ unfortunately. I think this past year and my meniere's disease has really did me in, it took so long to get that diagnosis I am not ready to go through a big long process again:( I just can't do it. However, I am finding that now that I am regularly exercising I am…

I agree with the previous poster who said "ignorance is bliss" Sometimes this statement is very very true, and in this case, for me, it absolutely is true! Ronney

LOL does that kind of food gross you out now sometimes when you look at it? it does me, that is why I'm asking. The portion sizes, the grease all over it, etc... I just don't care for that kind of food anymore. Maybe he was a little grossed out in comparison and plus yours had to look better, I would think, everything is…

Hello, I stopped eating all processed foods for a couple of months. As my body was getting used to the new lifestyle I experienced very severe head aches and body aches, and the cravings were insane!!!! But I just waited it out and felt better. Now I can have those things in moderation, and I don't eat them if I don't have…

I hike and now I got the Michael Jackson Experience for the Kinect. I HATE working out/exercising! HATE HATE HATE it!!! So I have to do fun stuff, so it doesn't feel like I'm exercising. Also as far as exercise and working out, I'm not really doing it for weight loss, I'm doing it because it makes me feel better, the…

I also have a lot to lose. I'm just taking it 1 lb at a time, it makes it much more doable:) (of course if I could make it 1lb quicker I would be happy, but eh, it is what it is) Good Job! :) Glad you are here. Ronney
