12/2 - 3 miles at 4:15am, I am tired but glad I got out as it is supposed to be a rain/snow mix tomorrow. Good start to the month. :) 12/5 - 3 miles. Getting faster but still working on cutting out the walk breaks. 12/7 - 1.5 miles. I tried my hilly park run and it was too much. My piriformis was complaining on the first…

Did you look at US Road Running? They say they ship Internationally. As does Virtual Strides.

I have done a few. I set a goal for each one, not always a faster time, and it helps keep me motivated. Last one I did I wanted to keep a more consistent pace, I did one where I wanted to cut down the number of walk breaks I was taking. I helped keep me going when the weather was crazy hot and humid and I wanted to quit.…

@Becky_44 Did you see my post about the stretch I do for my piriformis? It's called the Prone Figure 4 Isolation. If not look it up, it's been extremely helpful for me. I did. I love that one. I can modify it and do it at my desk also so I can keep it loose all day.

I am doing the Run & Ride 5k on Saturday and hopefully the 10k on Sunday at Cedar Point.

I started running about 3 years ago, then got sick and stopped. I restarted about a year and a half ago and have been serious about it. So I was 41 when I started.
Piriformis, I found out about this a couple months ago after more than a year of pain I couldn't exactly pinpoint and none of my stretches helped. Now I do a stretch that keeps it tolerant most of the time. But im certain this will be number one reason i wont make it to long distance…
@kimlight2 piriformis injury? I have bilateral piriformis syndrome. Left side has been debilitating. It's not easy to get over. Wishing you a speedy recovery too!
Same thing only mine is on the right side. That is why I am trying to take it easy and not aggravate it to much.

I am in. I am just got clearance to start running again (YAH!!!) after a piriformis injury. I am starting slow and going for 25 miles but I have a 5k December 20th so that should get me over my goal. I am trying to average 3 miles each run 2-3 times a week to build up just going slow each time.

@skippygirlsmom - that is awesome! Congratulations to Skip.

My July goal was 30 miles and I hit that. I think I will shoot for 35 for August. 8/2 - 3.5mi. PR for distance Woohoo! According to my GPS I went 3.5 but according to the trail map I did 3.7 miles. I am going with my GPS since I always use the same one when I run so any errors should be consistent. Walking up to get ice…

I have just started running, currently completing 5k's, working up to 10k and hoping to do a half next fall.
