Like others have said, as long as your calories are in check you will lose weight. I also love fattening food, so I work on ways to replicate some of those creamy or crispy foods in healthier forms. I bake chicken nuggets and fish rather than fry, I use low fat cheese wedges to give my pasta and soups a creamy flavor, and…

Actually, yes, the Rhythmol was prescribed for the PVC's. I have not had an episode of A-fib for 3 1/2 years. I started on the Rhythmol after the PVC's to see if they would help and they did. I have only a handful now. The doctor said that while it is usually used to control A-fib in my case it also helped to reduce the…

I have those, and a few other heart issues (MVP, A-fib), and I take medicine to control my heart's rate. About two years ago I was at a belly dance conference and during one of the sessions my heart went nuts. I was having a PVC with nearly every beat. Went in to see the cardiologist and he had me go on a 48 hour monitor.…

Is he afraid that if you lose weight you will leave him? I know some men are insecure that if their woman becomes more 'desirable' that they will find a new partner and leave. He may be feeling insecure about the changes you are making and may need reassurance that you love him and will be with him no matter what. A…

i did and it was from a poor stance, and from not using my whole foot with each stride. That means that I was leaning forward so my weight was centered on the balls of my feet and I was not striding from heel to toe. I have adjusted my stance, centering my weight by taking a few strides without holding the handles, and…

Dear 16 year old me, You are different than most of the kids in school. That is fine and here's why. Those asshats who make fun of you now - they are at the peak of their awesome. It is all down hill for them now. Seriously, they are the adults who want to go BACK to high school because that is when their life was so…

I LOVE and ADORE these noodles. They have been the reason I have been able to eat tasty, filling meals and still lose weight. I prepare them by rinsing VERY well (like three of four minutes) then I pour over 4 cups of boiling water. After that I drain well then I put them in a microwave safe colander inside a microwave…

I make my serving size how much I actually eat. For cookies I usually eat two, so I divide the total number of cookies by 2. For pasta I usually cook for two, so I develop the recipe for two servings in mind. Soup is usually a cup (or 8ounces) per serving for my recipes. I am not sure if that helps at all ...

You can do it either way, actually. If you freeze before baking you will need to add an extra minute or two to the baking time. I like to bake them first then freeze so I can just nuke them for 20 seconds and have a hot, fresh biscuit for breakfast in a hurry. Good luck!

I have discovered that I am obsessed with popcorn! I live a crunchy, salty snack. I air pop mine (3 cups), and add 1/2 tablespoon real butter, 1/2 teaspoon Molly McButter, and 1/2 teaspoon ranch dressing mix. OMG. So satisfying!

Thanksgiving is going to be a challenge, but I give myself one 'F@ck it' day a month, and turkey day is that day for November. That does not mean I will not track cals, or document what I eat, and I will not go nuts (eat two or even three plates full) but I will have a little of everything I love and not kick my own…

Thank you all so much! :D

Awesome! :) That is a good feeling!

We either grill the turkey - Cut the turkey up and marinate over night with spices and a little EVOO. I let my bird come to room temp before grilling, and I have a hot side and cool side to the grill. Start on the hot side to crisp the skin, finish on the cool side to cook through without burning. Or, if I roast my bird I…

These products are HIGHLY processed. They are not clean. My test is if I can make it in my home kitchen with ingredients I can get at the grocery store/farmer's market then it is clean. There are additives, extenders, and flavor enhancers that are not available in my store. I avoid most of the time.

I make baked fish nuggets. Just chunk up the fish (I like a white fish for this like Tilapia) into 1-inch pieces and coat in egg white, then coat in finely ground tortilla chips. Let stand at room temp for 10 minutes, then bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and reaches an internal temp of 140 to 145 F.…

Unless you are landlocked like me and fresh fish is VERY hard to find. *Just Sayin'*

Just replace the PB2 with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and reduce the water to 1 teaspoon. The calories will be different, too.
-
It is a peanut butter powder that you mix with water to make peanut butter. It is delicious, 45 cals for 2 tablespoons, and it is GREAT in recipes! You can find it here - http://www.bellplantation.com/

I LOVE that stuff! It is a life saver for a peanut butter addict like me!

You can roast them with a little honey or agave syrup and cinnamon. Make Cranberry Orange Jam for toast. Roast cranberries with onions, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes for a side dish or to puree into soup. Float them in a beverage (1 part sugar free cranberry juice and 1 part diet ginger ale or sparkling wine and a…
