Thank you..!

Thank you pinuplove.. your post just made me bawl again. I know it's stupid to cling on to these imaginary ideals, I just can't help it sometimes. I suppose having had an ED when I was younger doesn't help, some of those sick notions of how nice it would be to look sickly thin still haven't gone away.

My boyfriend keeps on saying I needn't lose weight but understands that it will make me feel more comfortable. He does encourage exercise (but doesn't do any himself). We only see each other on the weekends and because he eats rubbish fast food I usually give in and undo whatever progress I've made during the weekdays,…

Fantastic! I need to try them just for that! But really, the shirataki noodles sound like a better deal than the miracle noodles overall. Going to see if I can find them here in the UK. Sounds like either will work well with spicy Asian dishes like a Thai green curry or sweet & sour chicken.

I live alone in London, UK and spend about 100 pounds a month on food. This doesn't include going out for food though (although I do that at most twice a month). It also doesn't include alcohol, on which I spend another 85 pounds per month. edit: 100 pounds is currently about 158 US dollars.

I'm 5'10, goal weight of 130 would be great, but that's judging from previous years and I've never had any muscle mass worth mentioning. So now if I lose weight AND try to get some more muscle, I might settle for 135. Current weight is 144 on a medium frame.

Thanks for the tip! Great name indeed, you can't make that stuff up ;)

I like some meat, also like some bacon - but only if it's fried really crispy. Any bacon that doesn't snap easily or can be crunched up is revolting.

Sounds fab! Always looking to add more beans AND more soup to my diet but hardly succeeding. Will try this soon.

I'm 5'10, current weight is 147, I want to weigh 132 lbs or 136 when toned. My highest weight was 183, but that was in 2002; for the past 5 years I've been fluctuating between 130 and 150lbs.

Maybe you could suggest one evening to cook a nice meal for them? That doesn't solve the problem long-term but it's a start and a nice gesture, too.

Mine describes the reason (or one of the reasons) I'm on here and comes from this comic: http://www.phdcomics.com/comics/archive.php?comicid=343

Ditto! I live in South West London and half my pay check goes up in smoke for rent excluding bills (£850).

Semi-skimmed milk Dijon mustard Wasabi Low-cal tonic water Ketchup .. fruit and veg vary, and sometimes my fridge will be barren for a few days while I feed of the giant pot of vegetable curry I try to cook at least once a week - but these things are always there.

As most here seem to do, I also log cleaning when it's the weekly 'big' clean that includes hovering, mopping, etc. I always use the "cleaning, light, moderate effort" option though. Also have my diary set to sedentary, so think I can get away with logging certain non-sport activities as exercise.
