L-Thyroxine is more likely to cause weight loss than weight gain, however, because L-thyroxine has to be metabolised into its more active friend T3 first, and thyroid hormones work by changing gene expression, it might be that it just takes a while for the effects to kick in. Also, technically I guess it could cause weight…

Sounds like a really good idea. I've been trying to get into a regular jogging routine but went jogging twice in a week about a month ago and then never again. Maybe this group will help.

Salad cream and various cheeses (but I'm trying to stick to the light cheese and leave the full fat ones for my hubby)

Hey Emma, I think you look fab! Maybe as the others have said you could try to change your body shape through exercise rather than more weight loss if you're still not content with it. I'd be careful with lowering your goal weight more and more.. It's exactly what I did when (at the age of 15, so many many years ago) I…

Don't tend to log condiments apart from mayo of course, but then again I probably have 1-2 servings of ketchup or mustard a week, so it's not a big deal. Don't log spices or herbs either. Always log coffee as I drink it with milk and rather a lot of it too, don't log the occasional cup of tea with milk, don't log herbal…

Gaining 6lbs of fat overnight seems unlikely, maybe it's just the fruit still being digested or you might have taken in a lot of salt, which will cause water retention. Just keep going and try getting on the scales again in a day or two and hopefully some of those 6lbs will be gone again! Don't worry and don't give up!

Hey, I know nothing about PCOS but I’m originally from Germany (now living in the UK) and I do research, too. So maybe if you need any language related assistance I could help? It must be tough to go on a diet if one shouldn’t actually be losing any more weight, but I’m sure with the right information it can be done. There…

^^ but really, what constitutes exercise?

Well done!! All the best for the continuing weight loss!

Mine seem to be going from a large/full B cup to a small B when I loose weight. But although my boobs are not big to begin with I don't mind. I like to sport the androgynous look sometimes and smaller boobs definitely help with that. Plus they become perkier. I can remember feeling decidedly uncomfortable when I weighed…

Congratulations! You look amazing! And I have to say you look sooooo glamorous in your current profile pic, like a movie star!

Gin & Diet Tonic! The bitterness of the tonic water might mean you'll drink more slowly. And the calorie to alcohol ratio is very good. Dry red wine also has a good calorie/alcohol ratio and is meant to be healthy in moderation thanks to resveratrol. Both spirits and red wine beat light beer because they've got less carbs.…

Trigger Happy TV is a good source of pranks, I'm not sure if it's available in the US though, might just be in the UK. For example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/damienandian/3754842103/

Ahhahaa, I love this! Gotta try it sometime on the tube or on the bus :D edit: also the perfect excuse to eat vanilla pudding!

Currently with a guy who's divorced, no problems there. I guess children might complicate the matter. In my (or rather his) case, he and his ex still get along really well, which is an added bonus because it makes me think this is someone who can handle relationships, including when they don't work out, like an adult. If…

NSV = non scale victory And yours it has to be said, sounds just amazing! Well done!

I measured myself about 3 weeks ago and got really down about it. I think I'll wait until the scale has moved a bit more until I do it again. I wouldn't expect a huge loss in inches though b/c I'm still not doing enough exercise. But yeah, in a couple of weeks I'll let the evil tape out of the closet again! My belly shape…

Rubbish rubbish rubbish trainer! 130 is def. feasible at your height, in fact it'll be a great weight to have. Maybe your trainer was banking on the reverse motivational aspect of what she said, but more probably she's just not a good trainer!

WOW! Well done you! Your transformation is amazing!

Thanks - It is a fantastic feeling :)

I got the flu and was so ill for days I just had no appetite. Dropped 3 pounds within a week (and I had been trying to loose weight for months without success). When I got well again that motivated me to keep going and actually stick to my calorie allowance for a change so I wouldn't gain the weight back. It's only been 3…

Back in the day I went through a phase of eating up to 8 apples a day and it didn't seem to matter to the scales if I counted them towards my total or not. I did that for several months and it really helped keep hunger at bay. Not sure how scientifically valid that is, but in any case you're not going to get fat from…
