Hi everyone, not in a good place mentally and could really do with some support. I've been told to stop all exercise (apart from walking) until I've finished my intense chiropractor treatment which is another 3 weeks away. I jumped on the scales at the week end and have gained 4lbs. Last night went on mammoth binge after…

I purchased this first on kindle, then also bought the book. Kindle isn't as easy for flicking through to check out the exercises, i.e. when book tells you to turn to page 212 blah blah.

Super congratulations to you silver!!! Welcome DarkAngel. Think only thing I don't like about this stage is the rest periods which make the whole workout too long. I comprise on this by supersetting and lowering rest time to 60 secs on most exercises. Body matrix ha ha I'm struggling to do half of one set. I'm going to do…

Beeps sorry only really caught up with other blogs. You sound in a worse state that me. Ice and stretching is the way, be very careful with the weights though, sounds like a muscle pull but don't want to tear it!

So wasn't in the mood this morning, but still carried on. Didn't feel it went well at all, but now looking back I realised I managed 2 x 70 sec planks and 1 x 60 sec. So slightly longer than last time. Also managed 4 jumpy lunges in matrix which was also extra from last time. No not all bad. Off to treat ice hockey team…

Just quick check in lots to do. Did work out B this morning. Had to laugh beeps I'm doing YTWL with 0.5 kg and that was a challenge!!!!!!!!!!!! Blessed injury  Had to adapt some others too. Afraid I'm also supersetting B1/B2 and C1/C2 with 60 second breaks. I just can't afford to do too long in the gym (garage).…

Sorry SPRAIN!!! Not on full form tonight, got the shakes and shivers :frown: :frown:

Sounds like a very slight strain of the ligaments, nothing to worry too much about. Ensure you stretch out the calves, especially the soleus which is the one we all forget about but causes most the problems when tight (google should have some stretches). Also try writing the alphabet with your ankle whilst in a nice warm…

Hi there, yes it takes some adjusting of the mind with weight lifting. I've been taking photos before a stage and again after finishing a stage (usually in the weeks rest period because muscle retains water for a few days after training and will show in the measurements). Not seen much chang yet to be honest because I've…

Started stage 3 today and really enjoyed it. Was so worried about my shoulder injury and really was thinking of giving it up. Then someone posted in stage 3 forum about missing out exercises that flare up their injury but doing the rest. I decided this was the way to go. I keep forgetting that these exercises don't isolate…

Was brave enough to do A1 today, having given my shoulder a good rest and lots of treatments. Don't feel I'm lifting heavy enough yet after workouts I feel like I have (in you know what I mean?) Certainly not lifting as heavy as some of you. Body matrix I couldn't even do the jumping sets, my quads were screaming at me…

I felt this was unnecessary and insensitive.

Well after a disappointing night of mindless eating (pity party for shoulder), I jumped on the treadmill and did 20 mins of HIIT, followed by 3 mile brisk walk with my westie in the pouring rain. Came back feeling great!! Decided whilst body was still warm to give my arm/trapezius and all underlying muscles in back a good…

MissMaggie sorry can't offer much help. I work out at home also, but in my garage. I have a tall freezer that I use, plus I'm 5ft 11 so its ok (at the moment!) I'm quite houseproud (mainly because clients visit regularly for treatments) so would hate to have to look at a squat rack (let alone have to dust it!!!!!!!).

^^^^^^ this. Also people who start sentences with "Basically ........" or "In an ideal world........" or "At the end of the day....."

Oh dear shoulder injury has really flared up today. Feeling a bit low to be honest because I need to work and can't afford injury  Anyway trying to stay positive (despite just saying I'm low) been icing frequently, ultra sound this morning and will self massage and ultra sound again before bed. Its now my weeks break…

Could be shoulder inpingement which is inflammation of any one of the rotator cuff tendons. I suffer with bicep tendonitis which causes the pain in my shoulder. It swells and gets inpinged under the acrominon bone in the shoulder. I have regular treatments on this but it does affect certain lifts in the programme. This…

oceanity I have the exact same problem with the food :frown:

agthorn, so pleased to hear you're doing this also. My friend said quite a bit about the book which I agreed with actually. Although I'm no expert it made sense. One thing was working over 60 mins without taking on extra carbs for fuel. He said no weight routine should be longer than 60 mins as muscle as now empty and…

Hi starting Stage 3 on Saturday and looking forward to it. REALLY concerned about the length of time it takes on each programme and cannot afford that long in the gym (garage  ), think I remember reading 90 mins a workout. I showed the routine to a friend of mine who's a personal trainer/sports therapist. He told me…

Did last workout A today, and finish Stage 2 B on Wednesday. I've decided not to take a break and go straight into Stage 3 as Stage 2 hasn't been that long. May regret it we'll see.

Yup do that too!!!  I'm putting it down to age:grumble:

^^^^^ this. Ended up buying the book also.

Did 3B workout today without the HIIT, doing mine tomorrow too. A lot better day today, head was willing as well as the body lol. I'm going to look at those jackknifes too, I'm holding a 12 kg dumbell over my head but its now causing pain in my triceps. Also adapted the cuban snatch and left out the second bit of movement…

^^^^^^^ Sorry girls still trying to get to grips with the quoteing.

Its really sore today Jen, so moved my workout to tomorrow. May have to look at some alternate exercises if it doesn't improve, hows yours?

I agree with everything everyones said about the FSPP. I have found my wrists have strengthened now on week 3, and I do need to develop strength in my wrists to benefit my job (Sports massage therapist) so I'll stick with them. Do miss the heavy squats though.
