If I was you I would take it as easy as possible in the beginning, maybe go for some walks, light jogs, or the bike at the gym. I am not sure how limited you are on movement but what about trying yoga or Pilates?

I love avocado! I ushually just make an avocado salad by throwing in some diced red onion, cherry tomatoes, and slicing the avocado. I also poor a little lemon juice on just to keep everything fresh. SO GOOD!

I don't have a lot of experience with this but maybe something you can do is design a schedule and get really specific. Like clear down the the hour of what you will be doing, and what you should be eating. Try to stick to that for a little while and hopefully after getting into the routine it will just be habit. I like the treadmill because I know how hard i'm pushing myself. If I want to spring I know How fast I am going and for how long which means I don't get the chance to slow down at all. Although I do like to run outside every once in a while, just for a change of scenery.
