Body shaming? Fat acceptance? These terms are indicative of everything that is wrong with our society today. There is zero rationale in accepting obesity period end of story. If you are obese you should love yourself enough to work toward resolving it. Will you succeed? I do not know. Should obese people be ostricized or…

Morbid obesity is by definition unhealthy. MO is a disease process so for those of us who are obese, we are unhealthy. Fatt acceptance should not even be a term in our lexicon because we should never accept any disease process and try to disguise it as some sort of personal choice or civil right. I do not believe obese…

I believe the number one pitfall of weight loss is expecting quick results. It has taken me over 2 years to lose 131 pounds and that is with LapBand. Your body simply is not capable of extreme changes within a weeks time in a healthy fashion. Yes you can crash diet, or try other gimmicks to shed noticeable weight in a…

I cycle, run and swim to prepare for triathlons. As you can see I have lost almost 130 pounds over 2 years. I think to truly become fit while cycling you cannot simply go our for a leisurely ride here and there. You need to do a combination of distance, speed and hill riding. This will keep your muscles guessing, your HR…

Having now lost a large amount of weight I am a firm advocate for no gimmicks and simply doing whatever it takes to end up with a calorie deficit at the end of each week. However, WW is the most clinically successful diet and is a good program. It may not work for everyone but it does work.

I have never served in the military but have worked with numerous current and former armed forces members. I have been told many times by former and retired military members that quite often those who have seen combat to any substantial degree do not like to discuss the details. I have worked with a number of former…

If there is a local running store go get fit. If not than honestly I would have your doctor try to tell you if you are a neutral stepper, if you pronate or supinate. From there you can pick a shoe. Otherwise, it is really trial and error.

DId not serve but work with several military pilots. Thank you all for your service!

Just saying "Green Tea" is like saying "Beer". If you are truly interested in the health benefits, I recommend you do some research first on tea in general and second on which tea is beneficial when. All tea is beneficial to some degree depending on what your goal is. I prefer White Tea (Silver Needle) and Oolong.

IDK but I love both of you lol!!

I personally think most, ok well some, women look better in NO pants!

MFP should post the answer to this question in some sort of sticky thread on the first page. MFP's formula for daily intake is based on your BMR minus the number of calories which at the end of the week will equal 1 or 2 pounds lost (3500 or 7000 calorie deficit). So, the number you see is the number you need to reach each…
