  • Sorry about the spoiler. That happens to me with Biggest Loser and Grey's Anatomy a lot. I usually try to steer clear of the boards with their names in the titles until I've seen the most recent episodes. What I hate is when the spoiler is actually in the message board header.
  • My husband thinks Red Riding Hood needs a bigger part (gee, wonder why). I'd have to say Prince Charming is my favorite. I like Emma(?) just because she was Cameron on House. I was also sad to see Graham killed off and kept hoping it was a mistake.
  • I was actually the opposite. I was the one that wanted the divorce because I was so unhappy...but the day I held those papers in my hand...I was just sad. Sad for all the years and for my two little kids...wondering if I had sacrificed them for myself.
  • I didn't have the confidence for younger men...thought I needed an older man after my divorce, more stability, more set in his career. Then my sister said I HAD to meet this cute cop that had worked at her school. Well, he was 7 years younger. Heck no, no way a younger man would be interested in ME. Well, he was...and…
  • I was about your age when my first husband and I separated. My kids were 5 and just barely 2. I got an additional part time job waitressing in order to keep my house and my mom watched the kids so I didn't have a babysitter for that job. I was exhausted but it was empowering to realize I could do it on my own. I went to…
  • Honestly, I wish I had taken that OMG picture. I so hated the way I looked I didn't want to see it. But now, I've lost some weight I'd love to compare. I'm a teacher and they always take our school picture...mine was taken before weight loss so that's all I have to go on is the face. Huge difference! I do have a picture…
  • Told my 13 year old daughter some advice on this the other day. I spent from 8th grade to 11th grade with a mad crush on this guy...never told him. Came across him about 20 years later, happily married--both of us, talked about it and he had no idea I had a crush on him. If you ask and are turned down...you are rejected…
  • Let's see. My EX husband even got me gifts but I had to give him a list. 30th birthday...all I wanted were tickets to see the Goo Goo Dolls (favorite band). He wouldn't get the tickets because it was a "school night". I'm a teacher. He came home with a candle and an umbrella. I went online and bought the tickets myself and…
  • Honestly...I've noticed since I started working out in the morning I have so much more energy. When I get home from work I have to have some down time and I'm tired a whole lot earlier in the evening because I'm getting up earlier...but my students have actually commented on how annoying I am since I started exercising…
  • Well, we don't know what happened yet, but the article said it was a traffic stop. Who knows what provoked it, but it could have been anywhere.
  • All I can say is what my experience was with my kids. My son (who I later found out was on the autism spectrum) used to have a complete meltdown every time I left him at the day care. Separation anxiety. The teacher told me, one day, to walk around and look through the window...he was laughing and playing (30 seconds after…
  • Hate this. My husband is a former police officer. :(
  • Haha, been doing kegels since I read that...
  • I was talking to the lady on the treadmill beside me...and all of a sudden she fell and went shooting off the back. Somehow, I was more embarrassed than she was.
  • Not sure if this is related, but my husband craves chocolate. I did a little research and if your magnesium is low, cravings increase. Would be interesting to see if your magnesium is depleted during TOM. I order him chelated magnesium from carlson labs and he says it helps. May be mental...but he said it helps.
  • Actually no...I'm taking prescription vitamin D and it says not to take anything else with Vitamin D. I guess I could look at some vitamins and see what I can find. That's actually a very good suggestion. I used to take a multivitamin every day but they made me nauseous.
  • Thanks ;) I've actually been to the doctor about a voice issue I'm having and she's sending me to an ENT. I made a comment about the dark circles and she said to ask about that also...might be related. I was just looking to see if anyone else had a similar experience. I really have noticed a lot more darkening since I've…
  • Ok. I was just concerned that it was something I was doing wrong. It's like I've aged by 10 years when I wake up and as I put makeup on...I take the years off. It really makes that big of a difference. I guess I was always lucky that I could go without makeup and it wasn't a big deal...now I don't leave the house!
  • Well, the most important thing I've learned in this 10 year roller coaster of weight gain/loss is that there is no easy fix. I've got to change my behaviors in a way that will be a lasting, meaningful, maintainable way so I don't go back to the bad habits and gain it all back. I've got to learn what works for me…
  • Seriously...nice to know I'm not the only creeper!
  • Thanks for some great ideas. I do drink a ton of water but since I started this "diet" I've been getting up at 4 am to work out. Probably not getting as much sleep. It's weird because the darkness is in between my eyes and not under eyes where you usually get dark circles.
  • Lol...I am a creeper. My husband is going to start wondering why I'm spending so much time on a fitness site. ;) Oh...and rolling chair...yeah, that's a problem for me too. Somewhere around 40 I lost my coordination and I do dumb stuff all the time...don't need to give those students any more ammunition about what a dork I…
  • What I usually do is read what people have written and process it for myself...does what they say seem to make logical sense? Maybe I need to do a little research on what they've said to see if it's true. I have thyroid issues and rheumatoid arthritis so there are a lot of whack-job posters out there on these topics.…
  • lol, speaking of...geez, I feel like a creeper looking at your pic. How many times did you have to take it to get that exact angle? Whew...very nice. Oh yeah, um, topic....distracted...sneaky exercise...I'm a teacher so I actually started walking around and helping the kids instead of yelling to them from my desk. Amazing…
  • When I was 25 I had a couple of kids that lived next door. I think they were 6 and 8. Of course, I was married and a teacher so the situation was very different. They've both grown up and I've been to both of their weddings and the girl is pregnant with her second child. Sometimes I feel like I raised both of them because…
  • Thanks! You look like Billy Joel! *kinda*
  • Yay! Congratulations on the wedding AND on making positive changes for yourself. I know what you mean...I found out about a year and a half ago that I have rheumatoid arthritis and that's what it feels like...being old! So I got on meds and am now taking off a bit of weight. My students actually comment on how annoying I…
  • Well that's much more interesting than mine....I will be teaching my college class and hopefully getting home in time to watch a little tv with my husband and get a decent night's sleep!
  • I think that penguin shouldn't be messin with that polar bear....that's not courage...that's crazy!
  • Hi, best of luck! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like.
