  • I lost 10 pounds in 8 weeks when I increased my hot yoga to 4 times per week. :smile:
  • I use a polar heart rate monitor. I burn between 360 and 400 calories in a 90 minute class. (the higher calories is later in the day or with a few extra poses) I am 123 pounds, 52 years old and practice 4-5 times per week.

  • I do blow dry my hair - on warm instead of hot. I use biolage sulfate free shampoo and just recently started using moroccan oil conditioner. Which leave-in conditioner do you use? Thanks for the reply - I was beginning to think I was the only one.
  • Jimmy Barkan was one of Bikrams senior instructors for over 20 years. His hot yoga incorporates sun and moon salutations and vinyassa flows. The room is not as hot... maybe 5 degrees cooler. I like to mix up my practice. Although, Bikram is much easier on the body.
