I agree with the dark chocolate lovers. It is an acquired taste though, so start with something like Ghirardelli 65% and work your way up to Lindt 90% cocoa. They make a 99% cocoa but is not available in most stores. D

It would. Broadly speaking, it is the same idea that someone who is obese will burn more calories doing the same thing as someone in a healthy BMI. People wear weighted vests to increase their calorie burn. A back pack of books can do the same thing if you are simply walking. Wrist weights or smaller dumbbells can be used…

Thanks for sharing. I would have never considered the cottage cheese and the sugar free pudding idea is genius! I also use sugar free flavored coffee creamer to jazz up a protein shake. D

My knees are my weak spot as well. When I started my journey I could barely walk a mile without pain. The things that helped me most are: I purchased an over the counter compression knee braces at a sporting goods store. I made sure that I had good sneakers and replaced them often. I added an extra arch support in my…

Protein shake is the way to go! Do not worry that it is late at night!

Congratulations!! What a great way to deal with the stress!! Praying for his safety and many thanks to him for serving and to you as well for your sacrifice in having him gone. Again, CONGRATULATIONS! You look amazing!! D

There are times that I eat more just to show others that I am actually eating!! It is frustrating!

I find riding in the car or sitting in church to be more uncomfortable as well! What fun but how sad!   Congrats on your success!!!!:flowerforyou: D

I agree with the diabetes. When I saw how much water you drink and are still thirsty, it was blaring at me to suggest blood sugar testing. D

Great idea!!!

I do not do the full thing but many of the concepts I have incorporated. I think it is one of the smartest diets out there. Best of luck! There are people on here who do this and feel great!!! If you don't watch calories you may not lose weight really quickly, but personally I don't think fast weight loss is really that…

To be blunt, these articles demonstrate an ignorance of true homeopathy. I do not know one other person who practices homeopathy who would exclusively use homeopathy for post-op pain. I would take the morphine as well. What I would love to see is a study that would reflect healing time in these same situations. D

Loved watching this! Very engaging!! D

90%cocoa chocolate bar by Lindt. It is so intense that one square is enough. If you are used to milk chocolate...then work your way up. One square every day keeps the chocolate monster away! Sometimes I may eat a few raisins with it. D

Personally, I am a fan of homeopathy. I have used homeopathy to successfully treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses for my family. This hCG scam is NOT homeopathy!!! It gives homeopathy and really bad spin!!!:explode: D

Great ideas! I too, use vanilla and add fruit but some days I just do not have time to pull out a blender. My favorite is mixing chocolate with hazelnut creamer although the vanilla caramel is delicious, too. As for putting it in coffee...I am so sure that you can! I am not a coffee drinker myself so I have never tried it…

Beautiful inside and out!! What an inspiring story of faith, determination, and love. Thanks for sharing! I especially loved the tip of 3 more laps! I have 5 blessings, so I guess I have to do 5 extra! D

I have abstained from processed sugars for the past 6 years and it has helped me tremendously. I NEVER count the sugars from fruit or dairy. Sounds like you are doing an amazing job! Keep it up! If seeing that "over" number bothers you then change your settings. IMHO, that number is intended for processed sugars and not…

Marla, I am absolutely thrilled that things are working out! So proud that you persevered and never really gave up! What a lesson learned concerning doctors as well. Great job! It took me 6 years to lose 63 pounds, so be happy with the 1/2 pound per week! It was slow but I think I did it the right way and I on Thursday I…

@lisastrom....Lee Comfort fit works best for me as well. I still have to choose between a little bit form fitting in the saddlebag area or a bit of a gap...so I choose the form fitting. The jeans have a bit of stretch to them so they are not uncomfortable at all! The waist band has very well hidden elastic. YOu would never…

this is just soooo good, I had to bump it again!\ Tammy is such an inspiration!

Really? Not one comment?:noway: LOL! We are talking about fudge! So I shamelessly bump my own post! I may try using softned dates instead of agave...suppose it would no longer be raw but I love the flavor of dates. D

Hey, Steve, I think it sometimes depends on the person. For me, it is all or nothing. Like an alcoholic, I find that if I indulge in just a little bit of sucrose that it triggers a deadly spiral and it isn't just psychological. It has been a battle for me for over 20 years. I have lots of hypo-hypoglycemic and pre-diabetes…

of course meat...but then protein powders, dairy (milk, cottage cheese, cheese and yogurt), eggs, peanut butter, beans, nuts, etc. To make it all balance, I try not to eat too much bread, potatoes, rice or pasta. Those four things are treats! It is most likely the refined carbs that are doing you in...OR...fruit. But…

Marla, I use two (AM and PM) of the jumbo size old lady pill holders!   Even with these, I still forget! D
-
Thanks for posting Tammy!!! I am always so afraid that I will be fat again. It is still hard for me to stay balanced. D
-
Best of luck Amy! Your attitude is contagious! You are going to do great this time!! D

HOORAY!!!:flowerforyou: :drinker:   :flowerforyou: I hope that this continues to work!!! What great news!!! I really needed it today, too. I have had an emotionally exhausting day with kid #2!! Thanks for the update!! Donna
