  • I had the same issue. Then the battery on my scale died and I haven't replaced it yet. It seems 100x better and I stick to my daily calories a lot better since my emotions aren't affected by a slight gain! I just feel better doing it for "me" and not a number, so I'm not planning on replacing it for a while!
  • Goat's milk yoghurt ... you can really TASTE the farm. Not for me
  • Goal is (hopefully!) to 125 lbs from 140, which is what I hit without trying when I lived in NYC and was walking everywhere. But also focusing on body recomposition and strength by doing kickboxing so weight loss is slow. After I reach it, plan is to continue to eat healthy, up calories a bit, and if I drop more, so it…
  • I just put them inside yogurt, shakes, applesauce, and sometimes baked goods. I don't really feel too different when eating them, but sometimes I do feel it is a bit more filling after a tablespoon mixed in with my food. It at least encourages me to drink an extra glass of water, so it can't be that bad!
  • Get to kickboxing at least 3x a week -- I've been horrible at going to the gym with the holidays and so much travel!
  • Just wanted to add myself to the list! Anyone feel free to add me! Graduated college, going to graduate school for my PhD next year in physics/materials science!
  • Half an avocado on toast and a soft boiled egg is my go-to :) eat the avocado on toast and get ready while the egg is boiling still!
  • I was not motivated until I found something I actually liked. I hate running. I will always hate running. I did C25K and lost the progress almost immediately after. And I hated having to restart. But now that I've found kickboxing, I actually love working out because I legitimately DO have fun now!
  • banana, raspberries, vanilla protein powder, flaxseed, chia seeds, a splash of noni juice, and a bit of spinach
  • Bachelors of Science in Physics, going into PhD in Physics now :)
  • Would love to join in too! 15-20 to lose here :)
  • My heart rate is usually 180+ during most or all of my workouts and goes up to 210 or so. So while it can be normal (I feel totally fine and my heart rate goes back to almost rest within just a minute or two), go to the doctor as soon as you can to get it checked out.
  • Hey! 21 and done with college, but going back to grad school! Looking for support too. It's been really hard to get back on the wagon lately. I really want support and talking with people who are looking for motivation!
  • Just out of undergrad, going to grad school soon! Even more stress eating!
  • CONGRATULATIONS! I had that problem with Steak n Shake...now my "lazy meal" is half a bag of dole Caesar salad (135 cals!) and a couple bratwursts to toss on the stove for a few minutes. Still not the best, sodium wise, but less than 600 cals and very easy!
  • I hit at least 100 g a day without protein shakes, sometimes up to 140+ with a shake. I usually have eggs for breakfast, with some cottage cheese and fruit. (Cottage cheese has a lot, and I love it). Others like Greek yogurt for protein in the morning, I tried it, wasn't a fan. Lunch and dinner is usually chicken or ground…
  • I've been on MFP for a couple months now, and I've only recently discovered r/fitness and r/loseit, mostly lurking right now (username: quarkenstein). I'm a 20 year old college student, graduating in May, and hoping to attend graduate school starting in the Fall. I've never been overweight, but I lack a lot of endurance…
  • The normal tips for "eat protein and a lot of fiber filled foods and you won't be hungry!" don't work for me, but I save calories for snacking later, especially if it will be a long study night and I'll get a sugar craving. Budget some calories for the evening, when I didn't do that, I got so crabby and hungry during the…
  • I don't get enough water, so I try and track it unless I know I'm getting more than enough. Sometimes on long days I forget to. It also has helped me feel better after workouts, I usually never got enough and would feel sick after the gym. For recipes, estimate if you can't do anything else, but maybe a food scale would be…
  • When I share my success with real life friends "You're so lucky!" .... what does luck have to do with it? I'm working my butt off for this! From my mom "I'm eating healthier than you, I'm getting SALAD, and you're getting MEAT"... Yes, you are getting salad covered in dressing, cheese, and croutons, with breadsticks on the…
  • German Shepherd/Border collie mix... He looks like a german shepherd, except for the border collie white spot on the front and floppy ears :)
  • I found after I cut out sweet tea (220 calories per drink at some places in the south!) I didn't like it as much when I came back to it. I had a cheat day and decided to have some sweet tea after about 2 weeks on MFP, and it was just TOO much. Too sickly sweet, made me feel terrible, so I'm not addicted to it anymore.…
  • I used this for a few weeks and had very slow weight loss, then thanksgiving didn't watch my calories -- I dropped about a pound and a half that week. Since my goal is 1300 calories, I feel like my body is sometimes too close to starvation mode and doesn't lose the weight. So, I have a cheat day once a week, but usually I…
  • I heard that malamutes are great fence climbers...even 8 ft fences sometimes have trouble keeping them in! I don't know if you have a fenced in backyard, but it's something to consider!
  • Yes, I think everyone has an issue with college, definitely...too many late night Steak N Shake runs, then a Waffle House opened on campus...then they introduced Chik Fil A and Taco Bell! So few healthy options when you're in a rush!
