  • Neither is better than the other. The two should actually be combined to make your workout/exercise complete. You should strength train on some days and cardio on the others.
  • I have lost 10 dozen eggs, hoping to lose 10 dozen more.
  • Items on my list this year: Some weights (dumbbells to be exact) weighing: 8lbs, 10 lbs, and 15lbs. Heart Rate Monitor Aside from those two things I really don't want anything. Eventually I'd like to add New Wardrobe to a list of items I want/need, but I have about 10-15 lbs before that can occur.
  • Yoga X is generally completed on Wednesday for me, but unfortunately I was not able to get around to completing it....so I did it last night instead. Since Saturdays are generally my rest days I figured I would just push the workouts back a day to make up for it. Last night's yoga session was much needed though. Work has…
  • My posts are always after the fact because due to work being insanely busy, my workouts are now completed in the evenings and majority of the time, once I'm home, I am not on the computer. Last night's workout: Shoulders and Arms, ARX While I was able to stay more focused during the workout, it still doesn't interest me. I…
  • I did some Plyo last night and believe it or not, I love this video. It totally kicked my butt, but I was loving every second of if! It was definitely a struggle to get through the whole video even while doing the moves for half the time. Some moves I was able to push myself through the whole 30 seconds, others, my legs…
  • Thanks. I will give it a shot next time around. I just get bored with the video. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I am stationary (aside from the arms of course) for the most part. It's a mental thing that I will have to overcome.
  • I completed the Shoulders and Arms video last night. Due to earlier than normal work schedules my morning workouts have turned to evening workouts. I struggle with the shoulder and arms video though. Not because I cannot complete the moves, but because I find myself losing interest in the video. Any suggestions? I am…
  • Just started P90X Classic today and the videos kicked my butt. My upper body strength is lacking. I am looking forward to seeing myself progress over the next 90 days!
  • Thanks, everyone! These are all wonderful tips. I do get up and walk around often, but our office is in a ranch style so no steps. :frown: I am sure once I start working out in the morning I will feel much better, but its nice to hear all of the wonderful suggestions.
  • That is awesome! I am getting ready to start P90X! I'm excited to begin. I might even start tonight rather than tomorrow morning. :-)
  • Thanks. I am getting ready to start a workout program in the morning. My plan was to start this past weekend, but I ended up getting sick so I am waiting until I'm feeling better before starting. I just don't want to workout in the morning and then feel like I'm doing nothing to accompany that workout throughout the day.
  • As soon as I get over this cold, I will be joining in. I cannot wait to get started!
  • I am actually getting ready to give this a try. A co-worker of mine recommended it when I told him I wanted to start working out again. I'm excited to see how it does.
  • I would love to be a part of it. I will be starting my routine this Saturday (the 19th) so essentially I might be a week ahead of everyone else, but am still willing to participate. Is it okay to add you as a friend?
  • Wow! Thanks so much! I will def have to rethink my choice of Lean. I think you guys have convinced me to switch to the Classic Routine. I'm so excited to get started!
  • Thanks so much! I just sent him a message.
  • I chose Lean because after reading through all of the material that was sent with the DVD's it seemed to be the one that fitted my goals most. Plus, I'm a huge fan of the Core Synergistics video. I've done the Plyo video a few times and I struggle with it big time. I was thinking I would start with the Lean Routine and…
  • From a personal stand point, if you are happy with yourself at 230, then you are happy and I do not see any reason why not to maintain. From a health stand point, I don't believe its worth all of the potential risks associated with having a bmi that high. Though you might not have any health issues now, maintaining that…
  • I love my butt and my legs... every last part of them. I am super proud of my lower half. My leg muscles are pretty defined as they are, but are getting more definition weekly. I also like how firm my butt is becoming....but to be fair, I have always appreciated my backside.
  • That's awesome!! Keep up the good work! It's so exciting to see and feel yourself get stronger as time progresses.
  • I have a few progress pictures that I can post later. I'm at work right now and the pics are on my home computer. I will post some tonight...I am not at my goal weight just yet...but I can def see a difference in the pics so far.
  • My SO and I met in high school. He was two years younger than I-therefore two grades behind. We had one class together my senior year. We talked here and there in class, but never really connected. I had no idea he had a crush on me at the time. 5 years later, he added me as a friend on facebook. We started talking, the…
  • Have you recalculated your caloric intake value to match your current weight or are you still going off what was based for your weight when you first started?

  • You and I are just about right on! I am 5'0 and want to be between 110 and 115 when I'm done losing. I'm currently 128 wearing a size 5/6 depending on style and cut. A year ago I was a size 9. I lost about 25 pounds on my own so far, but am thrilled to have found this site to help with the last bit.
  • Welcome! I just joined recently. Anyone one here is free to add me as a friend as well. I am more than willing to support/motivate.
