From age 9-19 i existed on energy drinks and nibbles of food, folowed by running obsessively. I can proudly say i have gained 40lbs since high school :D

Mine was like...5000 calories (half a pack of chipsvahoy for breakfast). Then it was 1000 calories. Now its usually around 3000.

Warm compress, ibuprofin if you take anything like that. Epsom salt in a hot bath and stretch. Walk for several days just to get blood flowing. When you can do that without looking like Frankenstines monster, you can run.
