During one of my past pregnancies, my hubby said that he was experiencing sympathy symptoms because he was feeling 'kicks' in his abdomen  You never know!

Rubybeach, you win the prize for making everyone jealous of your travels! That all sounded incredible! LadyJocc, I used to live in Everett! Still actually own a townhouse there and have a renter. Small world! I only seem to get the sudden need to pee at inopportune times, like in the middle of grocery shopping or at the…

Welcome to the newcomers! RBXChas: glad to hear the bedroom is finally getting pulled together/the furniture worked out! Re:pumps - our insurance required us to go through a DME as well but they were able to provide us a list of the approved types. So weird that they'd make you go through the whole process! My hubby said…

In case anyone was wondering, the report on baby's lungs was great! The dr said that the lungs looked great and if I'd walked in to just have a routine u/s, the lungs would not have stood out to her for any reason. So thankful!

I've had 2 c-sections and wanted this time to be a vbac, but since 1)this is probably going to be my last pregnancy and 2)my last one was twins and my uterus got verrrry stretched/thinned out because of it, my dr and his partners were not comfortable letting me try for one. My 1st c-section was exactly your story, except I…

I completely understand about feeling like you're getting to know their little personaities as the pregnancy progresses! I love that they're all so different in that respect. I had my ultrasound today; baby girl is in the 70-something percentile at 4lbs6oz. We got to see her gumming her mouth a bit and open/close…

Check out the group Fit, Fabulous, and Pregnant for a bunch of pregnant ladies! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/1903-fit-fabulous-pregnant And congratulations!

So tomorrow morning I have one last ultrasound to measure the baby's growth/progress. Yay for getting to see her one more time before she's born! Also, I didn't pass the 1-hr glucose test a few weeks ago (no surprise, as I've never passed it). Because it would have been impossible to find someone to watch my kids for 5…

I've been noticing that this time around, too. I think it mostly coincides with how busy or relaxed I am, though. When I'm really busy, either 1) the baby gets lulled to sleep or 2) I simply don't notice her movements because I'm so busy. I can definitely relate to being happy to feel the regular movement, though!…

I did a LOT of research on cloth diapering when I was pregnant with our first child. It really came down to cost savings (we're super frugal around here). We use Econobum and Flip diapers from cottonbabies.com. They're the most cost-efficient and work great. A lot of people like all-in-one diapers, but I've heard they take…

Oh, with that close of a number after the 1-hour, I bet you'll definitely pass the 3-hour! If you don't pass, I'll be very surprised. There are LOTS of women who don't pass the 1-hr but do fine on the 3-hr. In fact, because of the high rate, some doctors are moving toward a 2-hr test to sort of blend the 2 tests and get a…

I aim for 2200/day, which was maintenance for me before I got pregnant (5'6", 145lbs). I haven't been able to exercise as much during this pregnancy, but my fitbit still logs me as hitting about 2100 every day, so I'm comfortable with keeping the 2200 as my calorie goal. I've gained 20-23lbs so far and am 31 weeks…

So there's waaaaay too much I've missed to address all of it....but I've read through it all, at least! :drinker: Two of my kids caught a stomach bug (vomiting and diarrhea) from the library's story time a week and a half ago and I ended up catching it too. Talk about miserable, especially while pregnant!! Then, as a…

Chiming in a little late, but I figured I'd share my VERY LONG story, since I've had both an induction, a c-section, and a natural labor (only labor, not delivery). My first pregnancy went perfectly until 35 weeks when I developed pre-eclampsia and was put on hospital bedrest. My condition was worsening, though my baby was…

Your babies are sounding FANTASTIC!! I just looked through my notes from my twin pregnancy, and mine weighed 2lbs13oz and 3lb at 28 weeks, so it sounds like yours are right about on par with where mine were. Yay for healthy-sized babies!! Also, I was thrown a small shower for the twins at 35 weeks and the babies were born…

Sounds like a fun trip, Momma! I love doing crafts with kiddos :flowerforyou: RBX, I feel you with the congestion! We all got colds around here the other week, and my stuffy nose will NOT go away. I think it's a combination of the last hangings-on of the cold plus typical pregnancy stuffiness. But super-annoying either…

I would walk first, simply because when I walk immediately after eating, I get cramps more easily during the walk.

Rainy day here = lots of sewing getting done! No....not for the baby, but for my 2 other girls, lol! I have a HUGE pile of clothes I'm upcycling and my goal is to have it done before the baby comes. Plus I do need to sew up a couple swaddling blankets for the new baby, but those are quick. I even already have the fabric…

I think I gained about 60 with my twins; I can't remember how many pounds by how many weeks though. I do know that it's good to gain a lot of weight in the beginning because as the pregnancy progresses you can't always get all the cals in that you need due to time (fewer weeks of pregnancy) and space (babies taking up so…

Congratulations! What are you having? G/g, b/b, b/g? Or is it a surprise? I know one gal on here, Tara, is expecting twins. Not sure of her whole username, but she'll probably see your post. I have a 3 year old daughter, b/g twins who are 16 months old, and am expecting another girl in May. My twins came at 36w2d and…

Tara, if you want to keep having yogurt but control your sugar intake, you can try making it. I follow this blog regularly and her yogurt is good. The texture/taste differ from store-bought yogurt but we adjusted to it pretty quickly when I started making it. I like to buy dehydrated strawberries and crush them to add in…

Just adding my $0.02..... We use cottonbabies.com (and I've seen them recommended while skimming the last page of this thread); they've got an amazing selection, they are prompt with shipping, and shipping is always free! We CDed our oldest with Econobum and Flip and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Even my hubby has…

As far as transitioning to a twin bed goes - we started that with the twins this past weekend (they're 16 months). We're doing it the same way we did for our oldest child (who was the same age). We start with naps on a twin mattress on the floor. No box spring, etc. Our oldest is small for her age, so the twin bed was HUGE…

0-300 above BMR? Not TDEE? That seems odd. I've been aiming for 2160, which is maintenance for me while not pregnant. I wasn't tracking during 1st Tri because of nausea - I just ate whatever I needed to keep from being sick. I gained 20 lbs in the first 16ish weeks because of that but since going back to tracking I've…

I stopped getting updates under 'my topics' for this thread because it locked at 500 and I didn't see the continuation until now! Oops! Sounds like some stressful days for RBXChas and Momma - sorry about that! Sometimes you just have one of those days....that feels like weeks....!:noway: I hope things have improved by now!…

DO NOT WORRY about too much weight gain with the twins! :flowerforyou: I gained a little over 60 with my twins, delivered at 36w2d, and they were 6lb7oz and 6lb9oz. I lost 40 pounds within 3 weeks (obviously not exercising) and was back to pre-preg weight by about 7-8 weeks postpartum. Eat so those sweet baby girls can…

This pregnancy has (so far) been great! I'm 25w3d along right now. My first pregnancy went well besides first tri nausea until 35 weeks when I developed pre-eclampsia, was put on bedrest, and ended up having a 2.5 day non-progressing labor that ended up in a c-section at 36w2d. My daughter was perfect, though (6lb8oz) and…

I have the Women's Health Big Book of Exercises, which includes TONS (as in 600+) of strength training moves. It has about a dozen premade workouts in it, including a prenatal one that is split up into 3 trimesters. I recommend checking it out!

I did a 5k right before Christmas at 4.5 months pregnant (check out my profile pic). The only comments I heard were 'whoa, she's pregnant!' said with some amazement. In the first mile, I had a couple racers keeping pace with me (not wanting to be beaten by a pregnant lady) but I still ended up passing them for good after…

We haven't even started and I'm 25 weeks tomorrow! We're having a third girl, though, and we've had much more ease picking girls' names than boys' in the past, so we're hoping it'll be easy-ish this time around too! This baby will be joining Caroline Hope, Laena Faith, and Elliott David. We might go on with the theme of…
