  • I've been having some slight soreness in my groin as well - feels like a pulled muscle. A friend of mine showed me this article (there are 3 parts) Just curious what you experienced ladies think about the info/advice? This pain definitely caused me to re-evaluate my form and fix a few things.…
  • I just started my 6th week on Monday and did 60 lb OHP for the first time. Call me crazy, but even though it's the toughest one for me, I love the challenge! I look forward to Workout B every week :) My husband is a machinist, and he made me some fractional weights that didn't quite equal a pound (he had limited material…
  • Well I started Week 6 today and I'm feeling pretty good about my progress: Squat 5x5 - 90 lbs OHP 5x5 - 60 lbs Deadlift 1x5 - 120 lbs I have to be really careful on my form for squats now, 90 lbs is feeling pretty heavy!
  • Hey ladies! I've been following this group for quite some time but was finally able to start Stronglifts last week (in my garage) So, wrapping up week 2 today :) I'm a SAHM and have to get creative to fit in my workouts with a 3 month old and 2 year old, but so far so good, and I LOVE the program! I wanted to introduce…
  • I also nursed my first to sleep every night and slept with him. When he was nearing 22 months we gently started weaning, and a few weeks later he was completely weaned and EASILY fell asleep with stories and songs. He's slept in his own bed in his own room ever since, and daddy puts him to bed each night. I think they…
  • Wal-Mart, K-Mart, any of the marts really, or Amazon.com. I've seen them at Best Buy as well. Good luck! I highly recommend Jillian's videos! If you don't think you'll get your home workouts in, Jillian will guilt you into it :p
  • I just had my second boy on July 6th (my first is 2 years old) Feel free to add me as well!
  • Almost 3 weeks pp I'm only down 14.1 out of 31 lbs gained. I've got a fairly positive body image, esp when compared to my first pregnancy, but I still don't really have any shorts/pants to wear because I'm still really WIDE (35" hips pre-pregnancy, 38" currently) I'm happy my ab muscles have come back together, no…
  • Hey mamas, I'm Laura, 29 and mommy to two boys, a 2 year old and brand spankin' new 1 week old :) I exclusively breastfed my first to 22 months (and co-slept for most of that as well) and I plan on doing the same with my second baby. So far we're off to a very good start! I got into the best shape of my life before this…
  • My little guy was born yesterday at 10:49 am! I had a wonderful home birth, 8-ish hours, and I had the pleasure of catching my own baby and putting him immediately to my chest! He weighed in at 6 lbs, 9 oz - WAY smaller than we expected (my firstborn weighed 9 lbs 6 oz :p) He is healthy and we are feeling very blessed and…
  • That sounds like how I started my labor with my first! My contractions started at about 2 am and lasted like that all day, and didn't start to get more consistent or intense until late afternoon/evening. It does sound like it could very possibly be early labor, but you get to play the "wait and see" game! Actually I didn't…
  • You look amazing!!! Definitely an inspiration =)
  • Hey ladies, congrats to all you expectant mommies! I'm due July 10th and always looking for more friends, so feel free to add me if you like =) I'm 36 weeks and up 28 lbs total, and MFP has been a lifesaver this time (this is my second pregnancy). Along with the support I get from the other women, tracking my food and…
  • Like others before me who have never posted a picture on the forums before, I don't really know what I'm doing, so hopefully the pic posts or someone else can fix it for me? Please and thanks! Anyway, this is about a year and a half after my son was born. I had gained 50 lbs in my pregnancy, and it took me 9 months to get…
  • You look beautiful and I love your outfit! Great job!
  • Beautiful birth story, totally made me tear up! We're planning our first home birth mid-July (my first was born all natural in the birth center, I decided this time I'd just be more comfy at home) and I can't wait! I'm also hoping to catch my own baby =)
  • I had every intention of using a co-sleeper bassinet, and my MIL was kind enough to purchase it for us. I used it for maybe a week, IF that, until my little man decided he was NOT going to sleep unless he nursed to sleep right on me. I had no idea that co-sleeping was even an option, but thank goodness I had an amazing…
  • These look SO good but I am allergic to banana =( Anyone have a suggestion for what might be a good substitute and pair well with the strawberry??
  • I use my heart rate monitor to log all my workouts (I have a whole list of workouts I've created for myself) and it works great. I think it's one of the best fitness investments you can make!
  • I had to tighten mine and make sure it's as high on my chest as my boobs will allow! (Under my bra) I also have to make sure the strips are nice and soaked with water. It kept crapping out on me until I started doing all of these things, and ever since it's been consistent in reading my heart rate.
  • We're very close, I am just barely 17 weeks :) Feel free to add me! And congrats!
  • This is what I did for the first 6 months, after that my baby was starting solids and I knocked it down to 300 or so. Worked for me! Good luck and Happy Breastfeeding!
  • Feel free to add me as well, I'm 14 weeks along and have continued working out and tracking my food, and plan on doing so for the duration of my pregnancy. As soon as I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks I added a bunch of other pregnant ladies as friends on this site and they have been a great source of information and…
  • The birth center was a very nice environment for my first, BUT I decided to go with a home birth this time around because I remember how anxious I felt to have to get out of my comfortable bed where I'd been so focused on relaxing and deep breathing just to move to another location. And having contractions the whole way!…
  • JUST found out (barely 5 weeks) and would love if any of you ladies added me! I'm going to continue Bodyrocking throughout and using my Kettlebells. I'm also making sure I'm eating enough calories and getting enough protein and calcium (still nursing a toddler) Wishing you all happy, healthy pregnancies!
  • Name: Laura Hubby/Partner: Dennis How many kids do you have: A 20 month old goofy (and so much fun) little boy Due Date: July 10th, 2013 Do you know the gender: Nope JUST found out I was pregnant! Have you picked out the baby's name: My husband already started looking, but not yet. We've got time! Where do you live: North…
  • Cheers to all you hot mamas ;-) Mommy to a 20 month old here and working on #2!
  • Bodyrock.tv is the best! Short, intense workouts and they always break the different exercises down and show you the proper form. Same with Zuzana Light on YouTube. People think they need all the equipment that they use on bodyrock.tv, but if you have some free-weights or get creative adding phone books or something to a…
  • Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot! Twisted is yummy :D
