  • I'm 5'5" with a small pear-shaped frame . My happy weight is 118-125. I'm at 124 right now and am pretty happy being back within my "happy range". The lowest I've ever dipped down to was 112 ( that was after a long-term relationship had ended and I had a serious bout with depression). I looked horrible when I was that…
  • I too am 5'5" and started out at 137. I've been working out since November 1st but only started using MFP about 2 months ago. Boy has it made a world of difference! My weight loss had stalled for quite a while because I hadn't been journaling what I was eating and how much I was actually working out. Now I'm sticking with…
  • I'm struggling bad right now. My allergies are so out of whack at the moment they have evolved into a sinus infection that is draining into my chest. I've had horrible laryngitis since Thursday. I went to the Take Care Clinic at the Walgreens near by and the nurse practitioner wrote me an RX for a Z-Pak, told me to…
  • I've lost an average house cat and about half a guinea pig, but am working towards a sperm whale's brain with a whole guinea pig or even an automobile tire.
  • Congrats! I've managed to shed almost 12lbs and I'm already seeing a difference in my face too! Keep up the great work, beautiful!
  • I too have the Eat Smart bathroom scale (it's whichever model has the most reviews) from Amazon and I love it. It doesn't give body fat or BMI readings but I wouldn't trust a scale (or shell out the extra $) for one that did.
  • I don't see why not. I use almond milk instead of regular cow's milk and it works just fine. I imagine the same would go for substituting soy yogurt for regular.
  • My go to Cold Oats recipe is: 1/4 C. Rolled Oats 1/4 C. Uncle Sam original flax cereal 1/4 C. Plain or Vanilla Almond Milk 1/4 C. Fresh Blueberries 3 OZ. Fat free vanilla yogurt 1 TBS. Chia Seed 1 TBS. Quinoa 1 TBS. Milled Flax Seed 1 TSP. Brown sugar All in all it's 430 Cal, but I think it's worth it.
  • It's exactly how it sounds (powdered). There's a brand of powdered peanut butter called PB2. They make it in regular and chocolate. It's about 85% lower in fat and whatnot because it doesn't have the added sugar and oils. It's great for adding to cold oats or smoothies. I buy mine on Amazon.
