Slow progress is still progress. I'm similar weight to you (have lost about 24kg so far) and I'd be thrilled if I lost 1lb in 11 days! Keep going. Clearly what you're doing is working. Maybe shake it up a bit, but don't be discouraged.

I'm not using Levlen for contraception - I'm using it for PMS. So that's completely irrelevant, anyway.

I bloat pretty badly too. I've just accepted it.. I found when I tried paleo for a month, I completely lost the bloat. It was awesome. Eating paleo for me was not awesome though. I find that I get bloated if I eat big meals, smaller meals help reduce the huge bloat. Maybe it's worth testing for sensitivities to certain…

So I've been on it for a week and have gained 3kg. For me to gain that much I'd be needing to eat like what - 5000 calories a day? So I'm going to stop taking it.
-
To everyone else, thank you. I've been making an effort to eat something even if I'm not hungry - to avoid waking up. Will have to keep doing this and also be more aware of when I am training and not being in a too big of deficit.

Your comment is less than insightful and wrong. I hope you aren't actually a nurse as your username implies. Obviously the medication is enough and working, as prescribed by someone more informative than you.
-
This is reassuring, that you two are losing whilst on it. Did you retain water or gain weight when you first started?
-
I'm hoping this "weight" is only temporary. I know most people initially retain a bit of water.
-
Did you experience appetite increase? I'm on other meds that people have gained weight on - but I haven't, so I know there's other factors involved.
-
I think it really depends on your fitness levels. If you are fit in other areas then it won't be so bad, but if you are a beginner it probably isn't the greatest idea, unless you walk some of the half. Well done on setting the goal though - it's better to set goals that are hard to reach than ones that don't require much…

haha this! love seeing people sprint pass me then stopping after 25m when I'm up to 2.5km..
-
I think you need to change your attitude into - I'm going to get into running. (Everytime I said I want to try in regards to running.. I never did it). Alternate walk/run. have fun :)

I can see that you are coming from a place of good intentions, but your post doesn't display any of that. I suggest you educate yourself on mental health issues that lead people to have a poor relationship with food and hope that you'll be able to get an understanding even if it's just a little understanding, then…

I don't see how this is helpful in the slightest. What are you hoping people get from your post?
-
food scale, gym membership, PT sessions.. and real food ;)

maybe try reducing dairy or cutting it out completely for a week or so. see how you feel then. try introducing it back and see how you feel.

yeah, I'm struggling atm (though I think it's more PTSD) it definitely does make weight loss difficult amongst day to day stuff.. exercise used to make me feel better but now it never does, I still train though but I just don't feel better with it. If you want, FR me and I'll support you.. I think having support helps

I don't usually find TOM making me "eat cinnamon buns" (wtf is a cinnamon bun anyway?) but I don't judge people who DO eat crap during TOM because it effects females differently...
-
you never quit. when you get to your goal weight, you need to put in the same amount of effort to maintain as you did to lose. you stop losing weight when you feel satisfied with yourself.

I definitely agree with all that, especially number 3! Swimming is my time where I can shut off from the world, think about anything and everything makes sense.. I always have thought of swimming as like what yoga is to a yogi. And swimming won't make me feel sore (the very rare occasion that my shoulders will hurt or get…

thanks everyone! I breathe bilaterally, so I'm good with that :) I think I'm going to struggle with sighting the buoys and knowing where I'm going! And I get a bit iffy with personal space when I swim so this will be interesting haha. Just going to take my pace with this one and make sure I finish what I started :)

not really "weight loss" but.. “Brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people."…

this... plus you can do so much more with weights and you can incorporate them into a circuit. and you can do body weight exercises for cardio.
