LOL :-) Love that a guy is actually trying to help!

Too funny! But sadly, too true ;-( especially the "everything looks bad on your hands and knees".... OYE!

Welcome and congrats on your success so far! Feel free to send me a friend request. I was banded in January of 2007. I've had some ups and downs myself and am now back on track and 20 lbs away from my goal weight. Good luck to you!

Welcome and feel free to send me a friend request, I was banded in January of 2008. Congrats on your weight loss so far and good luck on your journey.

Good for you for making better/healthier choices and changes in your life. You look great and you will reach your goal soon!

Hello there! Good for you for realizing that you need help in order to keep the weight off. Please keep in mind that you will run into people who are very critical of those who have opted for weight loss surgery (even though I swear this was supposed to be a SUPPORTIVE community forum). There ARE some other people, myself…

My offiicial run/chip time was 34:28! That's a 11:03/mile pace.... I did better than I thought I did! WOO HOO :-D

Congrats to you as well! next year I'll aim for a better time. I'm just thrilled I accomplished what I set out to do!

Thanks for posting! Sounds delish ;-)

I agree with the responder that asked if you were using a blender. It makes the world of difference. This is my current favorite smoothie recipe: 6-8 oz Dole (or Market Pantry) Orange, Pineapple, Banana juice 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup frozen fruit blend (my favorite is the "festival blend" from Costo --…

Exactly! I come across the same thing. If it's a heavy workout day, I might give in to the homemade oatmeal cookies or a cupcake. But on a non workout day? I'll say no and people roll their eyes and are like, "whatever...it's one donut." I totally agree, when you politely decline, it does make people more aware of the fact…

Good for you! What an awesome accomplishment. I had lap band in Jan. 2008. best decision of my life. I too went from 22/24s (and the occassional 26/28s..GRR) to more "normal" sizes. Wore 10s for what seemed like an eternity and then recently fit into a pair of size 8 trouser jeans (1st time in my life I was ever in the…

Hi there! I've been raving about this to my buddies on this site. Here is my most current "fave": 6-8 oz. Dole (or Market Pantry) Orange, Pineapple, banana juice 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder about 1/2 of "festival blend" fozen fruit (found at Costco -- pineapple, mango, papaya, & strawberries more ice if needed. I…

First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. You have a valid point, though about the visibility. I once read an article on like CNN.com or something about the same issue. Why Breast Cancer? Why does it get so much attention? Some guy in a forum was making some lame, idiotic comment and a woman responded with (and this is…

That's so great, Tobi! You've accomplished a lot in the last few months. Proud of you, girl! So glad to have you on my friends list .... Rock on ;-)

Great work! You look FAB-U-LOUS!!! Congrats on your accomplishment and thanks for sharing! it's always great to see other people's progress...it's so inspiring AND motivating.

You had me at "cheese" :-) I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Laughing Cow cheese (the light swiss is my favorite) paired with the garlic parmesan or the 4 cheese triscuit thin crisps. I also love the mini babybel cheese wheels. Skinny Cow cookies & cream ice cream sandwiches. And, we had these at a work function - Icee frozen pops!…

Yay! Don't get discouraged. These smaller victories soon snowball into bigger victories. Good job as far as sticking with it!

That's good to hear! I bought 2 cans of pumpkin as well but haven't used them YET. I had read that adding pumpkin to oatmeal really boosts the fiber intake. And someone else mentioned adding pumpkin to protein shakes. can't wait to try it.

I just read this on an article online and haven't tried it YET. (But I did go out and buy 2 cans pumpkin the other day. ) If you eat oatmeal on a fairly regular basis, add some pumpkin mix to it, like 1/4 cup or so and it helps boost fiber intake. And I commented elsewhere too, but add 1/4 - 1/3 cup of quick oats to any…

I love the Dark chocolate almond! After trying the Kellogg's Fiber plus, I don't buy the Fiber One bars anymore!

YAY! Thank GOD there is another one of us posting on here ;-) I am about to turn 35 and my boyfriend of 2 years just turned 22. I have always dated within 3-5 years up or down. I really never got into the whole "significantly OLDER" than me thing.... just not for me. I once dated a guy that was 42 when I was 24, just not…

Lap band in January of 2008, lost 100 lbs by my year anniversary and then hit a brick wall: several months long plateaus and some yo yo-ing up and down. Now I'm back on track again. Best decision of my life! No regrets. Some minor problems here and there but all stuff that I have control over (taking smaller bites, chewing…

Ahhh...but Tempura is sooooo yummy ;-)

Hey! We went to a couple of Old Navys over the weekend too! I only bought from the clearance rack as well. Bought some cute lightweight sweaters and some rugby type shirts. I also got a lightweight hooded longsleeve shirt for less than $1... Crazy sale prices! Awesome about the size 10s!!! YAY Arielle :-)
-
Can't wait to try them! YUM!!!
-
Yep! First thing in the morning, after the potty, and in my b-day suit :-)

Congrats! That's awesome...what a great feeling when you can start to buy smaller clothes. It really DOES keep you motivated to stay on track and stick with it! Good luck on the rest of your journey!
