What exactly does that entail?

Hi Delaney, my name is Meghan. Feel free to add me. Congratulations on the wedding, and good luck with culinary school. I hope you find what you're looking for here.

My husband has kidney disease and is on dialysis, so he has a very limited sodium allowance. I agree with cooking most of your own food, it really does help a lot. There are some great website for kidney patients that have low salt recipes. Most of them are actually pretty good. Potassium and phosphorus are another…

You can add me too. I started a little higher, but I'm about your weight now.

This won't help you now, but maybe in the future? The skin is really bitter, so removing that should help some. I eat grapefruit almost every day, and sometimes the fruit itself is a little bitter. I add a little salt if that is the case and it helps. I don't know how it would be added to a smoothie though. Maybe next time…

Feel free to add me, I started almost in the same place, and would also like to get down to about 150. I've been struggling for the past month or so, but I'm hoping I can get back on track. Best of luck to you!

It's not necessarily a complete success story, but I think it was successful experiment. I walk most nights, but a while back I got really bad blisters so I took a week off to let them heal. I ate at a deficit, but didn't do any kind of exercise. I lost 2 lbs that week, which was more than I usually lose in a week. I kept…

I am in the same boat! I'm looking to lose 150 lbs total. It's a long road, but having friends helps a lot. Feel free to add me and good luck!

Love that response! Some people just don't get it. I'm getting an AR soon and I'm soooo excited! I've shot my brothers a few times and just fell in love. Plus, it looks amazing! I'm hoping to girl it up a bit, much to my husbands dismay. He wasn't too happy with the pink grips for my Kimber 1911.

These all sound amazing, can't wait to try them out! Thanks for sharing

It shouldn't have an effect on weight loss, other than retaining water if you have too much. It can be very damaging to the body if you consume excessive amounts for a long period of time. I would try to stay between 1500-2000. It can lead to high blood pressure, which can lead to kidney disease and a life you don't want.…

Thank you everyone for your responses, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer me. For now, I will continue with what has been working. I'm not in good enough shape for anything too high intensity at this point. Maybe once I drop a good portion of the weight I can start building my stamina with some interval…

Sodium is important to watch out for and try to limit. I don't agree with other people telling you not to worry about it. It may not have a huge impact right now, but the lasting effects could be bad. My husband was diagnosed with kidney disease last year and started dialysis right before Thanksgiving. Because of that, he…

I make guacamole chicken salad, super yummy! I don't like mayo so it's the perfect alternative. Plus it's a lot of healthy fat. Avocado, tomato, onion, jalapeno, lemon or lime juice and diced/shredded chicken. I eat it with a couple of corn tortillas and it is the perfect lunch.

I am back at this again as well. I'm feeling a lot better about it this time around though. It sounds like you are too. Feel free to add me. I try to offer encouragement. It helps to have cheerleaders sometimes. Good luck to you in this difficult journey. WE CAN DO IT!!

I used olive oil which was super tasty and added some good fats to my meal. The calories weren't crazy and I had plenty left over for the rest of the day. Having the left overs tonight for dinner so I don't have to cook :) I can see where PAM would work to cook some things, but agree that it wouldn't work for "fried"…

The sane part may be questionable, but that depends on who you ask :) I'm glad you are back and ready to do this. This is my 3rd time trying to make it happen, but I'm really feeling good about it this time. I hope it sticks for you this time! Good luck, feel free to add me and I will do my best to offer encouragement as…

I appreciate all the responses, thank you guys. The 2 cups was an easy example, not something I'm actually doing. Eating fried food once in a while won't kill me even if I did decide to do it. I'm simply trying to figure out the science behind cooking so I can log things as accurately as possible.

I haven't personally had it, but I have 3 family member that have. My aunt and cousin had it many years ago and both have put a lot of the weight back on. The last time I saw my cousin I would guess shes pretty close to her original weight. My aunt isn't quite so bad, but still not good. My uncle only had his a couple…

This journey really is so much easier when you have people motivating you along the way. Weight loss, or lack there of, can get so discouraging. Friends really help the process. Good luck to you, feel free to add me!

Welcome again. As long as you keep getting back on the horse after each fall, you're making progress. When u stop trying at all is when u fail. The success stories are great motivation for me as well. I love seeing other people achieve their goals. It makes me believe I can do it too. Hang in there and keep moving forward!…

Most people on here know what it's like to struggle with our weight, so we can empathize/sympathize with where you are coming from, even if our specific journeys are different. When family members don't know what it's like to be overweight, they can't understand where you are coming from the same way. It's one thing to be…
-
I'm sorry that you feel that way. I totally understand where you're coming from. I did so well a while back losing weight, then my life went into chaos and I've gained almost all of it back. Try to think positive thoughts instead of negative. The fact that you're trying is a big step in the right direction and its…

Thank you for making me laugh. I needed it :)

This will be my gift to myself once I reach my goal. I'm still a loooong way from that but it's something to look forward to. My life dream is to have kids. Sadly, that dream has been derailed by my husband's illness. It's heartbreaking to know it will never happen, but it's for the best. I will have to come up with a new…

26 female Christian. Feel free to add me if you'd like. That goes for any of you that requested more friends.

Do you have access to a fridge? You could grill up some chicken breasts one night and then cut them into chunks or strips. Put in a baggie and they are ready to go. You could also take some lettuce and maybe some salsa and make a little taco out of it.

bump to read later. Really needed this today! Thanks guys!

Squirrels. When I was young, my grandma decided to feed some squirrels some peanuts and this huge swarm came and attacked her. This is why there are signs saying not to feed the wildlife. Ever since I have been terrified of them. The other day one was on a tree next to my car. I stood waiting for it to leave, and it ran…

I got a lite brite cube for my 16th birthday because I loved this thing so much as a kid. I may have to dig it out of my closet when I get home today
