  • Nice! I think if I were female, I might aim for a Jillian Michaels body type. She just seems incredibly fit yet feminine-soft at the same time?
  • ^^^Falsehood. It will probably recover somewhat - but just being young doesn't work miracles. Losing 100+ pounds will lead to having some loose/saggy skin. Period.
  • Losing weight slowly, eating well, drinking lots of water, and incorporating a good amount of strength training will all help with the skin issue. Plus, being young is a good thing. Genetics will play a role, too. Vitamins C, A, E and K and B-complex vitamins are all important to skin health. Incorporate selenium, copper…
  • Mandy Moore IS pretty adorable!
  • "Can you...?" Yes, of course. "Should you...?" Probably not. Physical activity is important for many reasons. Everyone should be getting at least some exercise, even if not for the purposes of losing weight.
  • ^^^This. As long as you're meeting your goals/staying within your limits during each 24-hour period, it doesn't really matter.
  • Haha.. it's 90% personality crush on that one, obviously. :P
  • I can see that.... his personality irks me, but his body is crazy. When I saw him in Green Lantern -- Are you kidding me?!
  • Yes, yes, and yes. I think I'll have to have surgery, though, in order to have abs that show (and also for the arm flab). Years and years of weight gain, loss, gain, loss = skin elasticity gone. =-/
  • Emotionally/Spiritually, I completely agree. But there's nothing wrong with having a phsical goal/inspiration, either. :) I like to have a visual image in mind for the body I'm trying to acheive... it's good motivation.
  • LOL - I used to have the biggest crush on her (and Catwoman). But I also have a crush on Sheldon Cooper... so wtf? Haha
  • I think it's just something to get people to watch... this season has been so awful, they're doing everything they can to re-engage the viewers.
  • Yeah, I've watched every season and there have been some truly inspiring people and some generally good seasons (I think Season 2 and whatever two seasons ago was were both awesome overall).... but this season SUCKS. The show is just not what it could be or what it's supposed to be. Conda and her brother both seem like…
  • Seriously, though... if someone wants to help me develop a fitness & nutrition plan to get me to this goal... forever love.
  • I agree that watching BF% is more logical and reasonable. At my height/weight, BMI indicates that I'm obese. A 185 pound male who is 5'4" tall and able to run an 8 minute mile is obese?? Bunch of bull.
  • I use Better 'n Peanut Butter brand... it tastes fantastic (not watery like most reduced fat brands) and it only has 100 cals for 2 TBS.
  • I'm definitely more confident, but I don't think I'm shallow. In fact, I think I have a much more empathetic side, knowing where I was and where I cam from - and how unhappy/unable I was.
  • Nope. It's impossible for their numbers to be 100% accurate. Heart Rate Monitor is the best way to go.
  • Sweatin' to the Oldies was my first one, too (Thanks, also, to MY Mom!). The first one I ever picked up for myself was Billy Blanks' Tae Bo (on VHS!).
  • She does not need surgery - she needs real help. Get her on MFP, get her a trainer, get her a nutrition specialist. Help her (force her) to learn how to be healthy. If she has the surgery, she'll be just as big (or bigger) a few years later, because the main problem hasn't gone away.
  • DC, New York, and California also happen to be the most densely populated areas.... dur.
  • I agree with you. The death penalty is counterintuitive (and not at all a deterent - something that any "punishment" should be). Killing someone for killing (or whatever) someone else is just silly. It's not okay for YOU to do it to others, but we'll go ahead and do it to you. Illogical. Mr. Spock and Dr. Sheldon Cooper…
  • Of the names you like, I would go with Otto. :)
  • Ahahaha... that's my bamboo plant's name!
  • Do you like tortilla chips at all? Guiltless Gourmet makes some awesome chips (Spicy Black Bean, Spinach Artichoke Parmesan, Chili Lime and other flavors) and they are not nearly as bad fory ou as regular chips. I find mine at Whole Foods but I'm sure Trader Joe's and other places might have them.…
  • At the moment my routine looks something like: Mondays - Shoulders/Triceps/Chest/Abs/Quads (+Optional Cardio) Tuesdays - Back/Biceps/Hamstrings/Glutes/Abs (+ Optional Cardio) Wednesdays - Cardio Only Thursdays - Shoulders/Triceps/Chest/Abs/Quads Fridays - Back/Biceps/Hamstrings/Glutes/Abs (+ Optional Cardio) Saturdays -…
  • So you do just running 3 days, running + weights 2 days, and 2 days of rest?
  • Sugar (and sodium) is SUCH a problem for me! I can't seem to get a handle on it. >.< I'm also a vegetarian (complete - no eggs or fish) so protein, well, I can get enough, but it usually comes with an ample amount of carbs, too.
  • You need to work the muscles in your upper back and underarms... I forget what they're called but there's a piece of equipement at most gyms that does this (you stand and pull the weight, which is hanging from some kind of pulley device, usually, down and in, with a slight side-crunch movement). You can do it with a…
