  • Hoping this is just for women? Otherwise, my goal weight is 20 pounds higher than my "happy" weight - which ain't good! Lol
  • Oh, lord.
  • Do you both live with your parents? Have you gotten them involved? Who is buying the junk food and who is allowing him to spend as much time as he wants on the video games? Maybe you could try to get their support - ask them to set some rules. 60 minutes of video games in exchange for 30 mintues of active play (I wouldn't…
  • I'm confused... 5'2" and 155 or 5'4" and 140.... and we're freaking out? They may not be the slimmest or trimmest kids, but they're about normal, especially for guys (and yeah they're at the "high" end of normal - but BMI is a crap measurement anyway). It's great to want to get them to eat healthy, in general, or to be…
  • I don't think it's a "man" problem... just a problem with particular people. My Mom is super cluterry - she's taken over 4 rooms in their house.... but my Dad and I are both neat freaks. *shrug*
  • We make our own! (And I treat myself to a Deep Dish Chicago-Style pizza from Lou Malnati's every few months). We usually make tomato basil on thin wheat crust, with no sugar added/reduced sodium sauce, and reduced fat (2%) cheese. It's still fantastic.
  • I do this, too - I do cardio 4 days per week and strength 2 days per week, rotating the P90X strength DVDs. Tuesday and Thursday of this week, for instance, might be: Back & Biceps (Tues); Chest, Shoulders & Triceps(Thurs. Then Tuesday and Thursday of next week might be Chest & Back (Tues); Arms & Shoulders (Thurs). I,…
  • I love the Chocolate Shakeology, too... and I'm not a coach. :)
  • I use a banana and two tablespoons of Better 'n Peanut Butter. Or frozen berries and yogurt.
  • WOOOOWWWWWWWWW!! That is freaking awesome! Congrats to you - and best of luck with your continued success (or maintenance, whatever the case may be now).
  • Both overestimate.... I use a Heart Rate Monitor (Polar FT4) but even that can be off. I agree with the idea of setting a reasonable deficit (taking into consideration how much you'll be working out) and not necessarily logging your exercise calories burned. You can still track the exercise & time spent working out in the…
  • I like Dr. Praeger's best... but I do eat the MorningStar Grillers Chick'n and the MorningStar Spicy Black Bean. I use the Crumbles for Veggie Tacos and the "Meatballs" in Spaghetti. They both taste good, too.

  • BUMP! Totally making this for dinner tonight... hope there's not a run on spinach at the grocery stores today! Lol
  • 1. No - I wouldn't want my Dad to think creative dance is lame... BUT I would definitely have loved it if he'd take me out of school to go see a movie I was really excited about (he never let us miss school for any reason). 2. Uhm... yeah... go as a hobbit.
  • I used to crave cookies and chocolate all the time. Now I crave peanut butter and chocolate all the time. *face palm*
  • We met at a Bookstore.... I liked him right away, but he hated/was scared of me. Lol
  • Please tell me this is fake. >.<
  • My #1 goal is to acheive a toned body... so boo on all ya'll. idowhatiwant.
  • Ditto to the above ... my co-worker just recently had her gall bladder removed, after similar complaints.
  • NW Suburbs. :)
  • ^^^ Yes! My cheat days are usually tacos or pizza, or something like it. It took a while for me to realize what was actually happening with the scale's next-day vengeance.
  • Before starting this whole journey, I was never a breakfast person. I wasn't hungry in the morning and I'm not a fan of "breakfast foods" in genearl. So, I figured, why not just eat more of what I want later in the day? Now, though, I do eat breakfast every day, and I've learned to love it. It makes me feel much better…
  • There's a really great mystery series out there by Cleo Coyle called The Coffeehouse Mystery series. The first book is "On What Grounds" and it goes on from there to "Through the Grinder," "Latte Trouble," etc. They're all coffee themed, obviously. In addition to being clever mysteries, the author actually owns a…

  • Yeah - I'm not a morning person either, so it was hard to do it. I had to force myself (almost literally force myself... like push myself off the bed) for a while. But, actually, after a few weeks - I really started to look forward to it. It gets it out of the way so there's nothing to worry about all day long, plus I know…
  • Well, mine was actually getting tired of sweating all the time. But now that I workout regulary and have lost 70+ pounds... I sweat even more. *face palm* Also - almost having to get off a rollercoaster ride because the harness barely fit. That sucked.
  • The Mortal Instruments books by Cassandra Clare are entertaining. 1. City of Bones 2. City of Ashes 3. City of Glass 4. City of Fallen Angels 5. City of Lost Souls (releases in May) 6. ??? There's also the prequel series, called The Infernal Devices. 1. Clockwork Angel 2. Clockwork Prince 3. Clockwork Princess (September…

  • I've been on MFP for months (and months) but I still don't really know the answer to this. I have a desk job, so I chose sedentary - but I've been told multiple times that most people, even those who sit down at work, don't really have sedentary lifestyles. *shrug* and bump
  • Always eat high protein - but there's no reason why hitting high protein should be the cause of your going over calorie goal. You might want to take another look at what kind of protein you're eating, if it's so high calorie (migh be fine on workout days, but you can eat lower cal proteins on your rest days).
