Running is a much harder workout than other equipment like the elliptical. I feel like I can go farther and burn more calories on the elliptical, and you may find the same. I would switch up your cardio. Choose a different machine or try a group class instead of running for a while.

Popcorn. You get a lot for the amount of calories.

Get a heart rate monitor/watch. Don't use the heart rate monitors on the cardio machines at the gym. They are reasonably priced for the information that it gives you, and has been the most accurate method that I know of. I have not had too many problems with MFP overestimating however.

P.S. Keep healthy snacks in your desk drawer so you can resort to those if you are feeling tempted. I keep 100 calorie packs (if I want something sweet or salty), granola bars, oatmeal packets, tea and honey, etc.

Yes, start today! Don't be afraid to ask the trainers at your gym for instruction on how to use machines or even ideas on what muscle groups to work. Try to lift weights at least 2 days a week, and do cardio on the other days. If you have time you can work in 20-30 minutes of cardio after you lift. Good luck!

I would agree with the comments. Weight Watchers does work, but it is very similar to just using MFP for free. Going to WW meetings were worth it for the encouragement and knowledge, but were expensive.

How do you do the Chx noodle soup in a crock pot?

I have done the 30-day shred and have just used 3-lb weights. It will be much harder than you expect, not just like weight lifting where you could use heavier weights to do static lifting. I would start with 3 or 5 lb hand weights. Weights are really the only thing you will need to do it.

I drink 1 cup of 1% milk every day with a whole grain cereal, but I find that I get enough calcium from other foods during the day without having to drink milk.

Newman's Own Light Balsamic Vinaigrette. This light salad dressing has a ton of flavor and is low in calories.
