  • A few things...based on the amount of weight you are trying to lose, I would say that yes, you need to up your calories. How tall are you? Maybe google BMR/TDEE. But I'm thinking 1500 (based on the limited info given) may be more realistic than 1200. But try to incorporate protein to help fill you up and more veg. Try not…
  • I agree with the others as far as the broth instead of wine and halving the cheese, but cut the amount of bread crumbs in half or omit all together.
  • You could certainly keep the whole egg if it's fitting in with your calories. If one egg isn't doing it for you though, you could take that whole egg and add as many egg whites as you wanted. More filling, but fewer calories and still better tasting than just egg whites (in my opinion)
  • Did you talk to your dr about those black pills before starting the nystatin??
  • But you DO realize, don't you, that we're all here because we ARE trying? And this might just be why so many have found your post to be, hmmm, how shall I say this nicely, "not very helpful or motivating."
  • On one hand, you're right...pregnancy is NOT a reason to "let yourself go" and during my second pregnancy, I tried to eat right and remain active and I believe I had a better pregnancy because of it and would definitely recommend pregnant mommies to be as active as possible--and it IS possible. Case in point, my…
  • We all struggle!! And some days/weeks/months it feels more like a battle than others! I sometimes wonder why it can't just be "easy" for once, but have realized that when I keep on track and am exercising, that although it's not "easy," It becomes "EASIER!" I was struggling a lot yesterday...and I mean A LOT. But it…
  • Not sure...there have been a few questionable "is it REALLY blond or is that a gray hair" instances...so I just plucked them so I could take a closer look...each time it has been inconclusive...so I'm going with REALLY blond....
  • paragraphs, sentence structure??? What is this you speak of??
  • EXACTLY what I was thinking....
  • I saw a 6 lb gain on the scale in one week and I can totally relate--to that and the fact that it's a constant fight!! First off, hang in there, don't look to the Chinese food to help you feel better, because it's only food, it can't do that for you and you'll only feel worse afterwards. Make a smart and healthy choice for…
  • A 1000 lb unicorn weighs the same as 1000 lbs of "magic weight loss pills" but neither one really exists... except maybe the unicorn...
  • Maybe load up on the protein with a small side of carbs. But as the previous poster said, nothing wrong with carbs, just go for the complex carbs. Here's an idea for the pasta craving: use whole wheat pasta (1 serving) and pile on roasted veggies in a marinara sauce with grilled chicken. Count on the veggies and chicken to…
  • I would only count decaffinated tea/coffee if it's unsweetened and no creamer added. Just as I would count flavored unsweetened seltzer. But once you add caffeine, sweetner (artificial or not) or anything other than flavoring, I would not count it towards your daily intake. That's just my opinion though!

  • Totally agree with the freezer idea if you can't bear to give them up!
  • ^^^^^THIS x100000! You totally built up some serious muscle at the gym yesterday! If you want to see an immediate loss, you should stop working out!
  • Agree with this. I would suggest eating the kiwis and oranges an hour or two after the smoothie with 1/2 the yogurt. Keep everything else in the smoothie and toss in some ice cubes for additional bulk, but no calories.
  • I play volleyball 1x/week. It's how my husband and I met!
  • Well, shoot. Water is bad for me, soda is bad for me, guess I'll just switch to beer and wine. Those at least have some antioxidents...
  • LOVE THIS and certainly needed to hear it myself today as I am having those same thoughts "I don't feel like working out today because my workout buddies bailed and it's grey and dreary out" So I'm going to put on my exercise clothes and work out anyways!
  • I've heard anywhere from 300-500 calories a day for breastfeeding. But it really depends on how much and how often you are nursing. If your baby is exclusively nursing, I might go towards the higher end. If you're supplementing, I might move towards the lower end. I added in an additional 500 when I nursed and then as mine…
  • I'm 5'9" and my last weigh in was 212, so I'm right there with you. My youngest is 2 1/2, but I've lost most of the 'baby weight'. Now I'm just trying to lose the cake and cookies weight! Lol! Feel free to add me!
  • I'll echo what everyone else has said: Plan, Plan, Plan! You mentioned some additional restraints because of keeping Kosher, so you know what dietary restrictions there are because of that. Do you have access to a fridge at work? Do you have a place to keep healthy non-perishable foods at work? What does your lunch…
  • LOLOLOLOLOL "you can't put a price on that" This thread is awesome...I needed a laugh!!
  • Just chew on ice chips if water makes you vomit still. Once you're able to keep water down, move on to clear broths (chicken, vegetable, etc.) jello, etc. Once you're able to keep that down, then you can move on to plain, bland foods, dry toast, plain pasta, applesauce, white rice, etc. Hope you start feeling better soon.
  • LOLOLOLOLOL That was awesome! Seriously though (and I really hope this wasn't a serious question), your 9 month old should still be drinking formula or breastmilk and moving on to some soft foods or finger foods. If you want all natural, healthy foods, make it your own baby food. VERY easy to do and allows you to feed him…
  • Door holding on the East Coast (Tri-State area) is not uncommon...(in my experience) but it's still more of the 'hold it open for the person behind you and don't make eye contact' kind of way than the 'open it and let the person go ahead of you' kind of way. Having grown up in the Northwest, I got used to holding doors…
  • I'm no help, I say if the craving is distracting, buy it, pour some out if you don't want to drink the whole thing and enjoy the rest!
